Hazy amber brown colour with a long lasting head. Caramel and malty sweetness with some fruity notes. Taste is light, finish is a bit spicy.

Heel bijzondere dubbel.

Roodbruin biermet witte schuimkraag. Geuren van mout, caramel, hop. Smaken van mout, caramel, noten, kruiden. Een zoet-bittere smaak met dito afdronk en een wat olie-achtige textuur van het bier zelf. Bijzondere dubbel en lekker!

330ml brown bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton for £2.90. 7.5% abv. I like this sort of beer. Playing around with malt and yeast. Yummy. There’s blood and chocolate and chalk and yeast and a lovely sweetness in a dry palate and soon its all gone. There’s raspberry and deep cherry jam in a bready, musty malt. This is a beer you want to linger and savour, but it’s so yummy you just hoover it up in no time at all. There’s nothing especially interesting or particularly scrummy about the beer, but it just works for me. It’s a little rough and dirty, and tastes alive and authentic, and I love that. I would happily consume bottles of this night after night.

Drinking from a 33 cl bottle. A fruity, caramel aroma. The unclear brown beer has a medium brown head. In the taste, caramel, alcohol, coffee. Low carbonated.

330ml bottle at home. Dark brown with a full tan head. Medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Nice bitter and sweet tones. Roasted malts, caramel, raisin, spices and herbs. A great tasty abbey dubbel, which normaly is not my type of beer at all.

Brown color with brown head. Nose:Malts, grain, some chocolate. Taste:malt, dark malts to even slightly roasted. Light, easy going body for a brune. Sweet finish, but does also have a sourish touch. Ok brown.
