Pours out of the bottle in a deep brown colour with steady low head and smooth body. Aroma of Belgian yeast and plums. Taste of Belgian yeast, wheat, bread, rum, prunes and straw. Easy and smooth to drink yet nothing eciting.

Expected way more from Emelisse. Well, this one is maybe great but it did not hit my tongue. Strong alcohol with pepper and maybe some caramel. Unusaul crispy and sharp feelings on the tongue. Caramel in the back but it does not develop that sweetish background. Good, decent piwo. Warming.

Aroma is soft caramel. The taste is caramel and a little bit bread. It is balanced, with showed alcohol.

small offwhite frothy head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. muddy thick dark reddish-brown body. aroma: moderate malty, caramel, dark chocolate, mild coffee, raisin. if: heavy sweet. ff: heavy sweet light acidic bitter; long duration. palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic finish.

Donkere roodbruine kleur, amper schuim. Ruikt lekker, wat zoetig. Smaakt te zoet, nasmaak is wel prettig. Prima dubbel

Aroma: at the first smell lots of alcohol, I mean LOTS. After a minute, some fruits, raisins, strawberry marmelade. Deep brown color, foam reducts into zero. Taste. Oh well. Alcohol again, medium bitterness with easy, pleasing finish. I can taste some coffee, especially dark bread. Beer was quite water-ish (?) and fizzy. It’s hard to tell do I like it. You should try it as a curiosity.
