Hazy dark brown with lots of particles Caramalt aroma like that of a dark lager. Flavor is soft, bready and caramel malt.

Hopverdju (1270) - BELGIUM - JUN 14, 2017

hawthorne00 (3957) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 12, 2017
Bottle. Clear mid brown with a beige that’s soon less than a coat. Aroma of toasted grain, dried banana, prunes, mild spices. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not much in the way of a yeast presence and it seems a bit bald without it - prunes, some caramel, cloves and then off to a quite bitter finish. But its near-brusqueness has its charm too.

Backlog. Synchronizing with notes and Untappd.
Amazing sweet cookie aroma, some raisins, prunes, rum, milk with honey, spices - yummy! Unfortunately the aroma is a false advertisement and the taste is not that complex or intense.

hauxe (780) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - SEP 25, 2016
Pours murky brown from the bottle. A light tan head lingers for much of the duration. Aroma is sweet red grape juice, yeast and spice. Taste is brittle bittersweet without much overall depth. A touch of fruitiness, some yeasty bready notes, and then something like watered down pure alcohol. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Drinkable for sure but not particularly refreshing or exciting.

Had on tap in Amsterdam. Very thin mouthfeel. KInd of watery and lacking in big flavors. Meh

F: pale brown, average, not long lasting. C: brown, hazy. A: malty, fruity, strawberries, prunes, figs, brown sugar, hint of coffee and chocolate. T: malty, coffee, chocolate, fruity, grainy, peppery, slightly oily texture, dark caramel, medium full body, lower carbonation, good made dubbel, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Domburg in Netherlands.

Xstream (242) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2016

MelvinKalksma (1537) - NETHERLANDS - APR 18, 2016

Slight aroma of malts, caramel, nuts, Belgian yeast and dried fruits.

Turbid/opaque orange/brown beer with a small/medium beige head.

Medium sweet with malts, caramel, nuts, Belgian yeast and dried fruit.
