330 ml bottle. BB? From saveur-biere.com.
Murky reddish brown colour with a tiny light tan head. Sweetness, caramel malt, hops and more sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is strong malt, mild hops and sweetness. Sweet malty Bock.

330ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a small head. Aroma is caramel, raisin and molasses. Taste has raisin and toffee. Sweet finish.

Bottle 33cl. Dark brown, almost black with a small off white head that fades almost completely. Little to no carbonation. Aroma almost not existing, just a faint sweetness and malts. Taste is a bit sweet which turns into bitterness all over, bit sour too. Is this spoilt or how it should taste?

Bottle @ M Café, Leuven. Dark brown colour, creamy beige foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of dark fruit and caramel. Taste is sweet but nice bitter hints in the finish. Well balanced. Good bock.

very dark brown color with a beige head. nose: metallic, earthy, black fruit, raisins, sweet alcohol, chocolate. taste: chocolate, roasted malts, cacao,, malts. sweet, bit dry finish, small body, but with a long stretch, some bitterness too there. Taste is fine, nose is a disappointment.

33cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a small tan head. Medium body with low carbonation. Medium sweet- and bitterness. Raisin, brown sugar, malts, caramel and herbs. Quite a nice Dutch bock.

Bottle shared with bartlebier, thanks! Dark brown, little but stable head. The aroma reminds on dark chocolate, coffee, nuts with notes of yeast. Tastes a bit smokey with an intensive dark maltiness and some red fruits and plums. Full body, creamy texture.

Koelschtrinker (21492) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - AUG 20, 2014
Dunkler, wässrig malziger Antrunk. Minimal rauchig, dann röstiger werdend. Wenig süß, etwas bitter. Gelungene Mischung, die aber insgesamt intensiver sein könnte. 8/9/8/8/9/8

Bottom-fermented Dunkelbocks are the norm in Germany, but exceptional in the Dutch bock tradition, which is mostly top-fermented. Thin, bit milky, off-white head, colour a bright bronze, like a German dark bock. Malty aroma with coffee beans, bitter chocolate, liquorice, peat, dates, pepper; dry caramel taste, spicy, dried fruits, nutty maltiness in the middle, finish with roasted bitterness - which frankly I find a bit out of place in this genre. Nevertheless an interesting and tasty beer.

This is pretty tasty, with malt, dark fruits, caramel, nuts and molasses, all in good balance. Similar aroma. Clear brown with not a great deal of lasting head. Not spectacular, but beats most UK lagers comfortably.
