Bottle shared at home courtesy of Maakun. Black with tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, blueberries, peat, salmiak, whisky, marzipan, cocoa powder, charcoal. Big sweet and roasty bitter. Full body, oily and soft carbonation. Lovely. Maakun (6814) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2017
Bottle shared, big thanks to Bierkoning for the bottle. Black with quite big light brown head. Sweet nuts, roasted malts, ash, licorice, light peat, vanilla, whisky, fudge, marzipan, light flowery which is not so different from Bowmore which can be so flowery too, dark chocolate, soft herbs, marzipan. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Full bodied with thick feel and low carbonation, and that two yeasts after the best before date! Lovely lovely beer. The smell of chocolate, malty, light sour aroma. The large dark brown creamy head has a long duration. The body is black. A light alcoholic taste, very malty, strong amount of chocolate, at first light sour, the finish is long and a little bit bitter. The body is strong, very creamy with a normal carbonation. xXbaptisteXx (235) - - MAY 11, 2016
De couleur noir
Arôme de chocolat à plein nez!!!!
En bouche très douce avec un amertume qui vient progressivement avec des saveur douce de café vanille chocolat noir et pas trop épaisse pour une impérial stout
Vraiment sympa !! tderoeck (10658) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 15, 2015

Draught @ De Arendsnest, AmsterdamBeerandBlues2 (14027) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 6, 2015
Aroma has sweet licorice tones, whisky and somewhat strong peat. Flavour has strong peaty notes, some licorice and mild licorice root notes. A peat overdose, but I like it.
Tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is smoky Scotch, dates, coffee and roast malt, chocolate notes, prunes and licorice. Flavor is roast and chocolate malt, dates and prunes with smoky Scotch and earthy hops, and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation. McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - JAN 14, 2015
Pitch black with a toastey fine head. Good lacings and slick viscousity. Noses of vanilla, wood, liquorice, chocolate, espresso, violat olives, roasted malts and faint notes of pear and salt. Ligtly carbonation, full bodied with flavours of a light sweetness which offers well balanced woody, alcohol aromatic sweet-roast-bitterness. Long lasting finish with some edge to it. Nice one!
