Slightly hazy reddish brown colour, diminishing beige head. Aroma of malts, persimmon, caramel, carambola (starfruit). Sweet malty flavour, peperkoek, light hoppy. Finish nuts, hazelnut, caramel, somewhat mineral, light fruity, carambola.

Nice, though the hazelnuts only really shine in the finish.
(From 33cL bottle @ home)
Bottle from trade with Bierkonig. Deep brown, near-black body with a small off-white head. Nose is caramel, hazel nuts, grains, straw and hints of rye and toffee. The hazel really comes out good in this one. Taste is a rather strange and somewhat discordant whirl of chocolate, hazel nuts (but now it seems weird), caramel, grains and straw. Although all the components in and by themselves seem fair enough, the combination doesn’t really work out for me, for some reason. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Not a very balanced beer, but I still wonder how they get so much nuttiness in the kettle without ruining head retention... OllieBBommel (1531) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 1, 2013

Clear dark brown beer, big beige to brown head, bit stable, non adhesive. Aroma: hoppy and fruity, alcohol, some ripe banana, bit earthy. MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet and nutty, caramel, chocolate, bit sugary, syrup, alcohol, hint of vanilla, more chocolate, little bitter. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, roasted nuts, earthy, some banana peel.
Bottle @ home from Mitra in Haarlem. i already tasted this one from tap on the Bokbier festival, but the bottled version is different. Where are the nuts? Hard to tell. Tastes more like a regular bock. Overpriced. goozen (4071) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2012

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours hazy brown with a small off white head. Aroma of light nuts, caramel and chocolate. Flavour is light toes out sweet and light bitter. Thin to medium bodied with soft carbonation. jmgreenuk (9452) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - NOV 28, 2012
Bottle shared. Poured a cloudy brown with a thin tan head. The aroma was weak but floral. The flavour is grassy. Very grassy in fact. There is little bitterness and nothing on the palate. It's rather thin to be honest. Not one of their better beers. deanso (10133) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - NOV 28, 2012
33cl bottle shared.
Thin white head.
Hazy amber pour. Nutty taste but a bit thin. Ok.
