fiulijn (21399) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 12, 2012
Draught at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, as Hazelnotenbock
Black color, creamy head. The color is dark, almost black. There is some oxidized aroma and flavor of caramel, with relatively low bitterness, light residual sweetness, and no trace of hazelnut.

TBone (18328) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2013
Bottled 330ml Tnx Edo. Dark ruby color, good creamy beige head. Aroma has some hazelnut, caramel, grain and hints of vegetables and/or wood. Medium-bodied. Similar vegetably/woody flavors, I think it is hazelnut in its "raw" form. Some caramel. Certainly "hazelnoot" overrides here too much.

Benzai (16751) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2012
33cl bottle thanks to Dutchdrebus. Opaque murky brown color, no head. Smell malts, sweetness. Taste malts, sweetness, lightly herbs or spices. Medium body, low to medium carbonation.

Bottle. Murky brown color. Hazelnuts, caramel and earthy notes in the aroma. Nutty, earthy caramelly, soft bittersweet flavor. Not really my taste.

2/XII/12 - 33cl bottle from Mitra (Maastricht) @ home - BB: IX/13 (2012-1330) Thanks to Anniek for getting me the beer!

Clear dark brown beer, big beige to brown head, bit stable, non adhesive. Aroma: hoppy and fruity, alcohol, some ripe banana, bit earthy. MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet and nutty, caramel, chocolate, bit sugary, syrup, alcohol, hint of vanilla, more chocolate, little bitter. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, roasted nuts, earthy, some banana peel.

Thin white head.

Hazy amber pour. Nutty taste but a bit thin. Ok.

jmgreenuk (10082) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - NOV 28, 2012
Bottle shared. Poured a cloudy brown with a thin tan head. The aroma was weak but floral. The flavour is grassy. Very grassy in fact. There is little bitterness and nothing on the palate. It's rather thin to be honest. Not one of their better beers.

Cuso (8940) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 4, 2013
Bottle, many thanks to Bierkoning. Dark brown color with small beige head. Fruity aroma with caramel, chocolate, hazelnuts, earthy notes. Taste, roasted malt, red fruit, caramel, nuts, coffee. Coffee bitter finish. Not typical bock, but I liked it.
