Great citrus-tasting pilsner! A good session beer, light and not too strong. Bitter aftertaste. deReiger (11) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 23, 2011
Just a lovely beer. Taste is very similar to a good German Pilsener. In fact, I liked this better than Brand’s Urtype Pilsener. Colour, mouthfeel, aroma - all are on-target and together make a very tasty and enjoyable beer. Bottle bought in Amsterdam. Jur (468) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 25, 2012
Solid, mouthfilling exercise by our friends in Zeeland. Lovely, nicely bitter, unfiltered pilsner. Weighing in at a pleasant 5% a perfect session beer. Often unfiltered pilsners of small breweries (’t IJ) can be a bit sour, but not here!

Bottle at home in London - sourced from Male Ale. Pours lightly unclear gold with a creamy white head. Lovely dry and biscuity pale malts in the nose, some cereal, grass, hay. Light sweet flavor with nicely balanced crunchy grains, straw, cereal, pale bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish with more crunchy cereal, faint lemon rind, hay, grain. Nice biscuity aspects. Wonderful pils. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2011
Draught at Borefts 2011. Good grapefruit hop aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small stable white. Grapefruit flavour. Not as bitter as the aroma hints at. A little sweet. Very good.

Golden coloration, not quite transparent. Bitter, but not overwhelmingly so. Weak body. Hops hit the back of the tongue gradually and with subtlety. Tried with Dave at the brewery in April, 2012. Lore (2746) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 12, 2013
slightly hazy golden colour, massive long lasting white head; aroma of candy sugar with herbs (as if it would be a belgia n ale); taste of honey with strong hoppy bitterness and dry mouthfeel with spicy aftertaste. very good pilsener caesar (7153) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JAN 14, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2014 Bottled. Clear yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of grassy hops, some grain, slight sweet malt. Decent bitter taste, hint of grain, crisp. Dryish palate. Nice pilsener. jerohen (2296) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2011
Bottled from Mitra van Bergen, Eindhoven. Light golden colored, medium white head. Pilsener-hoppy nose, German-style, Urtype rightaway. Pleasant bitter flavor, not too complex, but very easy-going. Bitter finish, which is remarkably long-lasting for the style. I’m impressed, this is a very good example of the style. kraddel (8116) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2013
bottle thnx to 77 ships ,
pours very clear, light blonde . good white head .
smell is exactly like the smell you get out of the mashing tank, when you start brewing a beer ( the malts ) . malts in a natural, ’herbal’ way , not like a a produced ( beer) scent .
taste is more of the same malts, but less intence. what a great smell !
