Boreft Beer Festival 2012. Hazy copper with a small white head. Grainy malt aroma with fruit and diacetyl. Dry and bitter, grainy malt flavour
A hazed reddish brown ipa with a thin mocha head, with little floaties. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light oxidation, light metallic notes, not much left of the hops. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with resinous hops, dark fruits, plums, light coffee notes, pleasant. Bottle from Bièropholie imports. BB Dec 2013. Bottle. Aroma carmel, raisins and little bit of vanilla. Brown color with red glimmers. cloudy, tan foam with amazing dancing little bubbles (almost nitrogen feel).medium sweetness, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish. In taste: red fruits and alcohol with warming feel. As someone before me said - it’s not taste like IPA, for me it’s not taste like IPA in my imagination and style frames, in blind test I would said it’s kind of Belgian Dubbel Ale. Bottle, bb somewhere 2014 (have to guess, very hard to read), so probably close to, or over bb date. Pours brownish red with a slim white head.
Aroma: not much, some caramel, some red fruits. Taste: Strawberry, red berries, caramel, bread. Medium sweet, light-medium bitterness, oily texture, thin body. Perphaps caused by its (over)age, but this does not taste like an ipa, more like an amber ale.

How: Bottle 330ml, consumed 4 months before expiration date (although probably not fresh at all).
The look: Slightly cloudy burgundy-copper body toped by a medium beige head with good retention.
In long: Nose is tired leafy and wooden hops in a puree of dark berries. In a blind tasting I would have needed 5 ort 6 style guesses before naming IPA for this aroma. In mouth the beer is medium-full body with a lively carbonation, nothing wrong with the mouthfeel. Taste is a purre of ripe dark berries (cranberries, dark cherries, other…), some earthy wet wood, boiled carrots, wet tobacco, a weird gastric acid sensation (like drinking vomit), yeast, blood, other. There is some kind of hop bitterness in there but blended with all those weird flavors it is hard to know what is what. Another disappointment from Emelisse. Another disappointing beer from Emelisse, when I die I would like the people of Shorts to lower me into my grave so they can let me down one last time.
"Dark red", more brownish than red. Aroma: caramel, hops, wet leaves.
Taste: definately some "old bottle" notes. Hmm, I only bought this last week, let’s check the date; indeed: BBF 03/2014. Malt, caramel, some hops, bitter.
Bottle aging can sometimes be good, but it doesn’t really work for this beer.

Pours a dark Bordeaux/mahogany with off-white moderately lasting head and some lacing. Little aroma beyond malt. Bitter finish.
