This beer is already more then one year old but still very good. The hop taste is a little bit gone but the dark malts are great. Thanks for the bottle Peter.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty caramel finish.

Idiosynkrasie (8522) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 19, 2014
330ml bottle. Dark chestnut colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Roasty dark malty aroma, piney hoppy overtones. Taste is roasty dark malty, chocolately, subtle sweetness, piney and grassy hoppy overtones, disguised fruity hints of mango and peach, a herbal touch as well; soft, creamy palate. Comes along innocuously, but is cluttered up with subtleties, mainly due to the Mosaic hop, I guess.

bierkoning (14026) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Citrus and only a hint of roast in the aroma. Roasty citric flavor, grassy hops. Surprisingly well balanced, tart beer.

Bottle @ ZZT 9 shared by caesar. Brown till black color with a beige head. Smells and tastes fruity, herbs, hops, roasty, bitter.

Bosskie (1022) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2014
Red brown abd very dark beer with a light head and nice carbonation. Grapefruit smell with hints of caramel. Bitters sour with lots of herbs and resin. Grapefruit peel. Very bitter which slowly develops into a subtle sweetness. A nice unpretentious beer.

giorgos_gtc (97) - GREECE - AUG 4, 2014
Not the accurate sense that I would expect. Maybe some liquorice in the tasye. Appearance is average good and the foam remains.

Outstanding black IPA. Dark appearance, roasted malt and licorice. Some grass and pine hippiness round it out. Tried at beer temple with Paul in 2014.

jerohen (2406) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - JUL 31, 2014
Bottled from biernavigatie.nl. Very dark brown colored, medium lasting beige head. Beautiful hoppy nose, probably simcoe, little bit of roasted malts, some licorice. Initially malty flavor, later on the hops take over, combined with licorice. Extremely (almost astringently) bitter finish, long lasting. The combination of roasted malts and overdose of hops just doesn’t work for me in general, neither in black IPA’s nor in schwarz IPA’s. Great aroma though.

28/VI/14 - 33cl bottle from Biernavigatie (webshop, NL) @ home - BB: 7/IV/16 (2014-674)

Little cloudy black beer, big beige aery head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some caramel, grains, bit sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, fruity hops, citrus, bit malty, some caramel, soft roastedness, little sweet, sour. Aftertaste: very dry, citrus, grassy, bitter, some alcohol, grains, mocha, coffee touch, fruity hops as well. Ridiculously expensive!
