Bottle, Vintage 2011,enjoyed three years after bottling. Pours clear dark amber, with a big off white rocky head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, with bread, toffee, honey, as well as some deep dark fruits and notes of leather. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with bread, caramel, kandi and muscovado, as well as notes of leather and oak barrels. Clear red purple beer, small irregular beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, bubble gum, peach candy, some caramel, sugary, sweet, red lace candy, strawberry jam. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of strawberry, other red fruits jam, some overripe banana, pretty sweet, caramel, some citrus, soft bitter touch. Aftertaste: very fruity, raspberry and cherry candy, bitter hops, some caramel, sugary, red lace candy. Lovely!
Pours a dark orange muddy brown unclear beer with a good white head. Smells alcohol alot, bourbon, vanilla. Tastes chocolate, vanilla, raisins, alcohol. Heavy shit. Bottle at Deans impromptu Monday night tasting. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is rich sweet caramel treacle toffee. The flavour is strong sweet with a slightly watery light aspirin bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Clear medium to dark orange amber colour with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, dried fruit, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sharp, malty, dried fruit, wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.
