(bottle) pours a murky deep ruby-brown colour with a creamy off-white head. aroma of caramel and raisins, roasted malts, a hint of red grapes, earth and cherries. flavour is mostly the same, heavy toffee and caramel, light roasted malts, grapes and light tropical fruit, slightly perfumed. heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

Rubycolored with a offwhite head that quickly disappears. Sweet sweet aroma of biscuits and caramelmalts. Taste is very much like the aroma, with some dark fruits in there aswell.

33cl bottle, BB 12/2013 bought at Emelisse biershop.

Bottle: Medium sized vast thick and slow disappearing creamy beige head on top of an almost clear ruby colored beer. Can see some small yeast chunks lay on the bottom of the glass. Smell barley malts, oatmeal, cream, butter, nuts, autumnal herbs, liquorice, old pub, prunes, raisin, slight hint of creamy strawberry, autumnal herbs. Taste bitter, barley malts, light dry, vinous note, some alcohol, nuts, walnuts, milk, butter milk, syrup, raisin, prunes, earth, plums, toasted herbs, warmth and light dry. Aftertaste is bitter with barley malts, alcohol, spices and some dark fruits. Low carbo, creamy and spicy mouthfeel, medium to more fuller body and a creamy texture.

My first experience with this beer style... and surely not last. Rich lightly sour taste with nice bitter end.

Pure class! Beautiful aroma of coffee, grass, red berries and several other things. Taste of licorice and a perfect level of bitterness. Lovely-looking too.

330ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo a few months ago. Fawn-coloured head leaving fragile lacing down the glass. Deep, dark ruby coloured body. Mid-sweet aroma of plums and earthy malts. Well blended jam-like taste with dried fruits and malt fruity bitterness towards a long-lived ending. Integrated alcohol. Full bodied. Perfect as a late night sipper (Tromsø, 20.10.2012).

Looks like amber ale with no head. Aroma is rape plums, cherries, dark fruits. Taste is very pleasant you can feel the cherries the sweetness and the sourness of them and the nutty bitterness, also warming alcohol. Aftertaste is bitter. Complex and excellent beer.

From a 33 cl bottle at home. Pours a clear reddish amber with a short lived off white head. Caramel aroma. A bit of spruce and nuts in the taste. Lingering alcohol infused bitter finish.

Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - SEP 4, 2012
A clear light brown colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of fruits with notes of caramel and a little alcohol. The taste is fruity, peache/apricot, a little caramel and alcohol. The aftertaste is sweet, notes of bitter and alcohol.
