UPDATED: JUL 3, 2016 July 3, 2016. Bottle at home.
Hazy reddish amber with a small off-white head leaving a small ring around the edge. Aroma is sweet caramel, prunes, figs, bourbon, notes of oak and toasted coconut, orange marmalade and some alcohol notes with hints of solvent. Taste is sweet malty, light bitter and warming alcohol. Finish is slightly hot and lingering bourbon alcohol with some sweet toffee, toasted nuts, wood, figs and prunes. Medium bodied to full bodied, oily texture soft carbonation.
Good, a bit hot finish and some higher alcohol notes in the aroma though.

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Hazy dark golden with a lasting white head. Malty and fruity aroma with bourbon and especially coconut notes. Sweet, heavy and thick flavour with lots of bourbon. Not very refined or elegant barleywine

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20140427) The beer poured ruby red and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, vanilla and caramel. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, vanilla, malts, alcohol and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Too sweet and boozy brew.

Flaska från SB. Bärnstensfärgad, klar i princip inget skum. Stor söt doft av vanilj, russin, dadlar, bourbon, fat, ljunghonung. Kraftig, alkholvärme, liknande smakbild som doften, rund måttlig beska. Bra balans, fina fatnyanser, maffigt och riktigt gott.

_angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 22, 2014
Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours amber with a small slightly fizzy goldenish offwhite head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, bourbon, charred wood, coconut milk, caramelized almonds, vanilla fudge, tingling alcohol, golden syrup, oatmeal cookies, figs and hints of hay. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and malty with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, bourbon, charred wood, shredded coconut, caramelized almonds, roasted hazelnuts, caramelized apples, hay, soil, alcohol, raisins, dates and hints of orange zest. Mouthfeel is fat, syrupy, round, boozy, tiny sticky sweet and near full bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter, very tiny sour and malty with caramel, toffee, roasted nuts, charred wood, vanilla fudge, bourbon, straw, raisins, figs and orange zest. Perhaps a little hot but a very nice heavy bourbon huge malt bomb nonetheless.
