A nice beer, very good aroma and a sweet taste but sadly not really my taste

On tap @ Borefts 2013. This is a light cloudy or deep blurry wood brown one. It had a small islandy head that’s leaving good lacework on the sides of the glass. The nose is filled with sweet caramel and sticky malt goodness. It’s not to extreme really but present and quite inviting. Can’t sense to much of the buffalo to be honest. Maybe some wet rocky thing all the way in the back? It’s just as sticky and caramel malt sweet in the taste as the aroma told me it should be. Vanilla wood and a little whisky burn makes this really interesting and flavorful. It’s also somewhat fruity with lots of ripe old fruits. All flavors are well integrated and it’s a really good barley. 28.09.2013 sandervdbroek (19) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 3, 2013
Tons of vanilla. Not much of a head cherry wood color. Lots of the bourbon in the aftertaste.

cherry oak color. Tons of vanilla and oak in the nose, fairly boozy. The mouth is full body, fairly boozy. Sweet, low carbonation, tons of oak and bourbon. Heavy, somewhat syrupy. Big big beer. Creamy mouth feel. Fairly over the top, but as I expected. Loved it. ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 2, 2013

Taste is burnt sugar, caramel, butterscotch, hints of toffee and bourbon. Full body, soft to medium carbonation. OK barley wine.
