Borefts Beer Festival 3. Cloudy brown beer, tiny cream coloured head. Light crispish and semi dry palate. Some toffee malt. Minerals. The JD is quite light. A little woody vanilla. Finishes crisp and dry. Very drinkable barleywine.

Draft. Deep golden color, small white edge head. Aroma of vanilla and tons of summer and tropical fruits. Taste is sweet and slightly boozy, but the JD is very subtle and in the background. A proper BA treatment of s decent base beer.

Recht süßer Antrunk, der aber noch in Ordnung geht. Die Würzigkeit ist angenehm, besonders der Hintergrund bietet eine leicht alkoholische Kräuternote. OK! 7/9/8/8//9

On tap for Hard Liver ’12, pours an opaque orange with virtually no head. Aroma of feet, JD barrels and hay - quite muted on the nose. Flavour pf JD barrels upfront with tons of booze and feet - dominated by the barrel and booze, and quite muted otherwise. Not so well-crafted.

Bottled 330ml (BB 09/2013)
Thanks Edo! Amber color, a bit hazy, tiny, mostly vanishing white head. Toffee and vanilla in the nose, also some alcohol. Very thin body, almost watery! Evident alcohol, whisky but more cheap one than JD. Light hops, light toffee. Very simple and big dissapointment. Perhaps doesn’t improve by aging ... or it is different between bottles. I’ve had better Emelisse White Labels.
