CloakedDagger (2779) - - AUG 16, 2016
Bottle 33 cl. Pours amber with tiny impurities and a small, off-white head. Distinct and very typical Bourbon aroma of licorice allsorts - or wood and vanilla if you prefer. Rich, sweet body, loads of vanilla and in the end quite boozy. But still super delicious. 160816

At Proeflokaal Arendsnest. Rich red-copper, stringy foam. Vanilla-bourbon and sweet alc-rich BW aroma. Rich, velvety body. Slight bourbon-alcohol burn at finish. Sweet, balanced base barleywine. A bit crisp at finish from alc and hints of hops. Smooth, mediocre bourbon. Tasty beer.

Saeglopur (2326) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - OCT 25, 2015
330 ml bottle from Amersin 5, Vienna.
Dark amber-orange body, with a small, fluffy, light beige head.
Aroma of bourbon barrel, dried fruits, cherries, chocolate, toffee, some booze.
Tastes of bourbon barrel, dried fruits, citric fruits, toffee, cocoa, some vanilla, slight tobacco, booze.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes sweet, warm, quite boozy, wooden, fruity, vinous, with some dry tobacco notes.

Very tasty. Pretty sweet and boozy, but greatly balanced, never sticky or too alcoholic. Wonderfully integrated bourbon notes, with loads of various fruit notes. A really pleasant, smooth sipper!

.16L pour from chilled bottle into beer tulip at a beer and cheese tasting in Austria. Amazing beer. One of the best whisky barrel-aged beers I’ve had. Ruby/deep orange, hazy, moderate white head. Great depth. Full body, crisp. A little cherry, lots of bossiness, oak and woodiness. Smooth boozy burn on the end. Warming. A little sweet. Nose is oak, alcohol, and lots else.

larsniclas (7217) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUL 29, 2015
