Bottle from Uba ja Humal. BB 12.2020. Pours somewhat reddish dark brown with a huge tan head. Looks stunning! The aroma is dominated by the peated malts, almost difficult to get any beer from it, but later on the sweet chocolaty and roasty base starts to come through. Tastes sweet, with the peat and roast giving it a somewhat black bread sourish character too. The finish is rather bitter. Silky smooth mouthfeel, subdued carbonation... So nice and soft in the mouth.... Good drinkablitiy, dangerously so - the alcohol only comes across as enjoyable heat in the throat. Superb stuff. ha1ag (904) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - FEB 1, 2016
Bottled in Frape, Thanks Peter! Pitch black color, average coffee brown head. Peated nose. Aroma is peated malts, smokey and roasted malts. Flavour is peat and smokey whiskey notes with low stout sweetness. Very balanced, excellent beer! The_Osprey (7984) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2016
Shit weather, job applications. Time to get one of the proper beers out of the ’cellar’. 330ml bottle at home as ’Emelisse White Label Imperial Russian Stout (Ardbeg BA)’, 2010 vintage bottled at 11%. Totally opaque black, bubbly brown head. Aroma is dark chocolate, smoke, ash, fruity, nutty, Neapolitan icecream. Layered and lovely. Can smell it from across the room. Body is medium, oily, smooth, rounded. Taste is peaty, smoke, dark chocolate, coffee, salty finish. Smokey linger. Rounded and lovely. So drinkable for the ABV. Outstanding. Pretty close to my perfect beer. suurjuust (3534) - ESTONIA - DEC 31, 2015
Black beer, small brown head. Nose is boozy, malty, peaty, smoke, mild acetone. Flavor is malts, roast, smoke, peat, some salty notes, chocolate. Finishes with peat, roast, coffee, booze, dark chocolate. Lighter palate, must be the barrel ageing. Hides the booze pretty well. martjoobolut (4314) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 27, 2015

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and peat.
Opaque black beer with a slight/medium dark brown head.
Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts, coffee and peat.
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. The aroma has too much peat for me, but the beer only tastes more complex thanks to it. It always make sure to get that great coffee flavour in the beer.
30-OCT-2015, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting, @Sonni.
Black with a lasting, creamy Brown head.
Peated, roasted. Too peated for me. The stout is hidden by the peat. Nice try but for me over done.
