An impressive stout. Close your eyes and you think you are smelling a fine whisky. This is a top class stout that is a delight for everyone who loves their beers above average. The body is light and the palate not too special, but the taste is a joy. n0mel (250) - FINLAND - OCT 26, 2012
Bottle. I poured quite aggressively (from high and fast) but still hardly any head. Brown in color, though. The beer is almost pitch black. No, it’s not pitch black. Light penetrates the fringe of the surface, revealing a very dark brown (almost black) color. The aroma that mostly comes through is a noticeable whiskey. The flavors are nice; some whiskey at the start, some mossy smoke and some sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth but not creamy. Finish is a bit of bitter smoke.Cuso (8933) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 27, 2013
The BA in this does not come through as hints; it’s very noticeable. The aroma, and to a lesser degree the flavors, of Scotch, are not my thing. But still, this is a good beer. I’m a fan of imperial stouts. Aging it in an Ardbeg cask can’t ruin it THAT badly for me!
Bottle from trade with Bierkoning, veel dank. Black color with small beige head. Aroma of dark malt, peat, chcolate, coffee. Taste, milk chcolate, roasted dark malt, licorice, peat, whiskey. Strong alcoholic finish. Delicious. visionthing (5492) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 31, 2013
On tap at Haand ølfestival. Pitch black with a nice, beige head. Loveley smell of Ardbeg! Peaty and smoky aroma with dark fruits, hints of licorice and dark chocolate. Full bodied with slightly soft carbonation. Medium sweet with lovely Ardbeg flavour and a smoky and peaty finish. Very well balanced and simply delicious. Excellent! Very complex brew. Basis is an intense imperial stout with strong notes of whiskey. Aftertaste is simply amazing, it lastes more than a minute.

frape. Black no head no carbonation. Fine smooth heavy mouthfeel. Intens phenols. Peat. The bitterness is hidden in the alcohol. Great smokey brew. Lagavulin.
UPDATED: APR 26, 2014 Dark as the night, sweet chocolate barrel-tastic nose. Thick syrupy body, sweet dark malts, chocolate and coffee notes with undertones of tropical fruits. Finishes with a nice heavy bitterness leaving you wanting more. markextrae (4460) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUN 18, 2014

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is peaty, chocolate, taste is sweet and chocolatey, thin, dry and peaty. mutz (1098) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 22, 2014
Smaakt pittig peperig, koffie, vaag whisky, vrij zoet. Veel body en nasmaak. Goed spul.
