Pours a pitch black beer with a slowly growing tan brown head. Beautiful. Smells paint, peated, roasted, ash and coffee. Tastes chocolate, coffee bitter, peated, roasted. Nice! Low carbo, medium to thick body and an oily texture. Christos (5882) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2014
Bottle 330 ml at home, into a snifter. ABV 11% as the others.
Pours a pitch black beer, with a small and thin dark brown head, mostly consisting of big bubbles, but with great retention.
Aroma of whiskey, peat, roasted malts and coffee, a bit of alcohol.
Taste is once again great, lots of roasted malts and their light bitterness, vanilla, light alcohol but in general very well hidden, whiskey, a bit of smoke on the finish.
Full body, low carbonation, sticky on the palate.
Another well done from Emelisse.

33cl bottle from BierNavigatie. Dark brown (almost black) with a small tan head. Full body with light to moderate carbonation. Sweet with some coffee and herbal tones. Coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, wood, herbs, warming alcohol and dark fruits. A woody imperial stout with a nice whiskey vibe.

Sure, the barrel ageing takes a bit over hand but hey, I love peaty stouts. :)
Thick, almost black brown. Smoke, peat, mocca, booze, earth, wood, complex and explosive. Backlog from 2014/10/18. martjoobolut (4947) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 27, 2015
Bottle (from UJH). Pours black with brown head. The head stays for a long time. Aroma is peat, roast, sweetness. Flavor is sweet and bitter, peat, roast, dark chocolate. Finish is peat and roast bitter with chocolate thrown in. Alcohol is well covered. Overall: great brew. Marduk (8206) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAR 12, 2016
330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Pitch black color. Huge size, brown head, stays. Peat, smoky, woody, oak, whiskey, sweetish in aroma. Peat, bit earthy, oak, smoky, woody, sweet in taste. Smoked peat is everywhere in aftertaste. Long lasting pleasure in mouth. Soft carbonation. Tannin-like "bitterness". Drying mouthfeel, but then again awakes saliva glands. Fantastic brew! More! Soft and creamy in mouthfeel, a lots of smoke in the taste. Good blending with the very nice imp stout
