Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, smoke - peat, wood. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, whisky, brown sugar. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. 
From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a fully gone head. Aroma is dark malty, wooden, fruity and dry phenolic note. Lasting roasted malt and smoked. Slight tarish from back of the tongue. Bottle. Pours a black color with some ruby hints and a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and whisky barrel aroma with weak peaty hints. Roasted malty chocolate and licorice flavor with weak peaty barrel hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice finish.

Very dark black beer with brown edges. Residual suddy head. Softish dry palate. Sweet and rish dark malt, dark chocolate, whisky, licorice. Dark fruits - prunes and a little fig. Complex, dark, sweet and very tasty!
