Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2013
Black of color with a beige head. An aroma of leather, liqurice, roasted malt, sweets, prunes and weak alcohol. A flavor of liqurice, prunes, sweets, roasted malt and an oily texture in the begining.

Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Ottima imperial stout!

Maakun (6433) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - OCT 18, 2017
Bottle shared, best before 2015 thanks to Bierkoning for the bottle. Black with small light beige bubbles. Soft whisky, roast, dark chocolate, toffee, port wine, blackberries, dried red fruits, tar, marzipan. Over medium sweet and just medium bitter with a light tart touch. Over medium bodied with low carbonation. You can taste that it's old but it held up very well. Great beer.

No head, viscously pouring oil-black beer. Sweetish smelling, chocolate nose; roasted, nutty touches and a - difficultly qualifyable - spirit aroma. Chocolate, coffee, and a massive spirit/whisky presence. Roastiness held in check, alcoholburn not! Black chocolate-covered dried fruits as raisins, plums or apricots. Very thick & viscous, long-lasting rroasted-sweetish flavours. What a warmth! Many thanks to Kees!

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2012 Draft @ acbf. Aroma is huge roast, smoky malt and whiskey, coffee, liquorice and more. Subtle coat of fruity and full Glen Elgin. In the flavour the whiskey takes a more dominant position. The roast is pushed to the back while the malts come more upfront. Fruity notes, smokey notes. Nice one.

Bottle - thanks Todd! Very dark brown pour with zero head. Nose is whiskey, wood, and a hint of cherry. Palate is medium, and maybe a touch flat. Taste is very woody, with some whiskey warmth. Tasty stuff.

Sampled @ HaandBryggeriet Beer festival 2012. A black body with a small beige head. Nice and strong aroma of dark malt, whisky, coffee and some peat. Flavor is sweet and bitter, dark malt, whisky, coffee, dry fruit and warming alcohol. The whisky is clearly represented but not overwhelming. Full body and long aftertaste. Nice one.
