Bottle provided by Borresteijn. Thanks man! Pours jet black with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet roasted with sweet whisky notes. Oak and chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Dark berries and dry sweet finish. Great.

Fra flaske, 33 cl. Sort med et lille beige skumhovede. Lav karboneret. Ristet malt. Tørv. Mørke lagrede frugter. Sødme. Lakrids, som bliver meget tydelig i munden. Det samme gør whisky-noterne. Lav bitterhed. Meget lækker!

Pours dark red, almost black color with small head. Aroma of liquorice, salmiac, dark malts, ripe fruits and caramel. Flavour of chocolate, dark malts, dark ripe fruits, some mocha and some salty liquorice. Malty and a bit bitter dry palate with a sweetish dry chocolaty finish.
Pours reddish brown with a tiny light brown head and a plum and alcohol aroma. There is a complex flavor that includes chocolate, coffee, plum and anise with a warming alcohol trail.

0.33 L bottle. Pours a ruby-edged near black body. A few beige fish-eyes on top only. Sweet alcohol-soaked dark dried fruits to the nose. Some rounded barrel notes too, and a whiff of licorice and whisky liqueur. Almost no carbonation. More than medium full. Chewy texture. Sweet-flavored with well roasted and rounded dark malts. Lots of whisky flavor, light barrel notes, and a good deal of dark dried fruits. Notes of licorice and coffee/chocolate. ’’Easy drinking’’ for such a big beer. Ar: ash, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, mud, less smokey and whiskylike than expected.
Ap: medium Brown head, black colour.
F: ash, dark chocolate, coffe, slightly boozy ending in a rich and smokey whiskynote, I like it!
M: very soft carbonation, full bodied, almost like velvet.

A wonderful concoction.
Smells sweet, with molasses and a hint of toffee. Tastes very sweet, with a small bitterness, and a feeling of honey. Some dark berries, a black currant perhaps. Texture is silky. Mildly cloying finish. Very little carbonation.

Pourd dark black with a small, frothy tan head. Aroma of roast dark chocolate malt. Medium body, quite creamy sweet, low carbonation, flavour is a bit vinous with some roast malt. Dry but sweet aftertaste. Nice change from the usual Emelisse barrel aged versions.
