Bottle at home .
Pours black . Small to good, thick , darker head .
Smell is Very much sorachi, undertone of roastyness . Thick and creamy !
Taste is biter, green in a spicy way . Sorachi is def still there ( BBE december 15 , guessing 2 years , would mean 10 months old now ) . The hops kinda collapse with the IMPY taste , but at the aftertaste , they blend in completely perfect, The beer really builds op from a so-so smell, to a good taste, to a very ncie aftertaste . Carbo and mouthfeel are perfect ( low carbo , creamy mouthfeel ) A beer that is hard for me to rate ...

Een heel goed bier vol van smaak met prachtige citrus tonen. Niet het allerbeste van Emelisse maar zeker het vermelden waard tricksta_p (5017) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUL 8, 2014

(Drinking date: 21 June 2014) A black beer with no foam. The aroma of this beer is terrible: coconut, vanilla, sweet sugar, citrus, hops. This aroma is completely misplaced for this kind of beer. The taste is also citrus, with bitter coffee and chocolate, and a sweetness of sugar. A little bit of sourness in the aftertaste. The body of this beer is a bit too watery, with flat to medium carbonation. I want it to be more sticky and soft. It is strange, the normal version of this beer is one of my favourite beers of all time, but this beer is really awfull. This type of hop (citrus hop) is completely misplaced for this type of beer. That’s why I give it the total score of 2.4 unfortunately. mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 17, 2014
330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very hoppy and hugely roasted. Flavour is extremely robust, with shitloads of roasted malt, a signficant hoppy punch, and burnt coffee grounds. Over the top roasted, which makes this a very slow sipper. Good stuff. 33cl bottle from ’t Drankenhuys. Dark brown with a medium tan head which disappeared pretty quickly. Medium to full body with light carbonation. Dark sweetness with a bitter aftertaste. Roasted malts, coffee, caramel, wood, dark fruits and chocolate. A great full flavoured imperial stout. Gerbeer (3896) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 2, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours black with off white head. Aromas of dill and coffee. Flavors are similar with additional dry cocoa notes. Unique and interesting. djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2014
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium frothy tan head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is sweet roasted malt with cocoa, dark chocolate. Medium mouthfeel with similar flavors to the nose with nice light booze finish. Very good.
