[ As Emelisse White Label Imperial Russian Stout (Wild Turkey BA) ].
Clear dark black browm color with a small to small average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, sweet alcohol, moderate roasted, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, chocolate, vanilla, alcohol - wild turkey. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Black. Has a light brown head, lasting. Heavy aroma, vanilla, port and roasted. FLavor starts sweet, more vanilla and port, nice. Moderate bitter finish. Creamy, dry texture. SimplySike (1550) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAR 6, 2014

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94 at the Aloft Post-Grand Tasting Bottle Share and Fart Off Competition. Thanks, Brad! Pours an opaque brown with a tan ring for a head. Looks tasty. Notes of oak, chocolate, toasted malts, nuts, brown sugar, tobacco, molasses, and a little soy. Medium-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Rich and roasty and good. Didn’t wow me, though. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 25, 2014

>> Thanks you ygtbsm94 for the share! Rating #7600. Inky pour with tight mocha layer. Nose is warming brown alcohol, soy, salt, umami, molasses. Taste is spicy, rich chocolate mousse, fudge, spicy Mexican chocolate. Palate is spicy, wood fully integrated, no lemon, no paper, bitter balancing. Very nice. Thanks Brad for another milestone rating :)
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2014 Oily black colour, very thick dark brown foam. Very complex beer, very well balanced. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee. Also bourbon, but not overwhelming. Again a very good RIS from Emelisse. Christos (5909) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - FEB 23, 2014
Bottle at home, 330 ml, poured into a snifter. ABV 11%
Pours a totally black beer with a thick, dark brown head, one good finger tall. Very good retention, medium lacing left around the glass.
Aroma of roasted malts, bourbon but fainter than I would want, alcohol, some faint chocolate too.
Great taste though, again the bourbon flavour not so intense but strong enough, roasted malts, traces of chocolate, alcohol barely notable on the finish but otherwise very well hidden, light acidity there too.
Rich, full and smooth body, great carbonation, as much as needed.
Surely among the top of all the White Label IRSs I had. dado93 (153) - ITALY - FEB 23, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2014 Almost black color with fine and no persistent brown head, complex aroma, not excessive roasted but with sweet notes of bourbon, not very good, taste is initially sweet with alcohol, whisky and light smoke aroma, final with coffee and dark chocolate notes...
The basic IRS of Emelisse is very better than this... MPA (1040) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - FEB 22, 2014
Bottle. Oak, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate in aroma. Flavour is sweet with notes of chocolate, taste of bourbon alcohol, roasted malts and a soild malty bitterness to finish. Thick and creamy palate. Highly drinkable despite packing a lot of punch. RobertDale (6983) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - FEB 10, 2014
33 cl. bottle. Thanks Kirk! Pours black with a decent brown head. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon, fruit, and malt. Taste is roasted malt, Wild Turkey, dark chocolate, dark fruit, vanilla, and some wood. Excellent.
