Van de tap @ 24 uurs Maastricht. Zwart met een plakkerige kraag. Ruikt heerlijk naar hout en whiskey. Volle smaak. Boterachtig smooth, hout whiskey, donkergebrand. Zoet, eigenlijk iets tè. Bij elke slok is het begin heel heftig en zakt het daarna wat weg in de zoetigheid. Toch erg lekker heftig smaakvol bier.

Bottle shared at Daniels place. 20/02/2016. Huge thanks to Daniel for this one. Dark black / brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is big Bourbon whiskey, oak, vanilla, woody, coconut. Flavour is lovely rounded smooth coffee, big toasted coconut, woody, oak, Bourbon, burnt sugar in the finish. Bottle share in Richmond as ’Emelisse White Label Imperial Russian Stout Wild Turkey BA’, 2012 vintage from my ’cellar’, 11%. Black with a decent foamy brown head, light lacing. Aroma is meaty, chocolate, coffee and bourbon. Body is smooth and oily, low carbonation. Taste is chocolate, Wild Turkey heat, milky bourbon vanilla notes. Really nicely balanced.

Bottle thanks to Dan at Richmondo. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is rich, oily, bitter - sweet, vanilla, coconut, toffee, fudge, creamy coffee, wood, earth and sweet juicy bourbon. The taste is rich, charred wood, bitter - sweet, spicy bourbon, alcohol warmth, chewy malt, vanilla, burnt toffee, dark fruits and some spice with a warming finish. Bottle shared in Richmond - many thanks to Daniel. Pours deep black-brown with a minimalist tan head. The nose has some torched wood, alcohol, dry cocoa, peat, smoke. Medium sweet flavor with rich chocolate, scorched earth, baking cocoa, more peat, some woody dryness, raisins. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with further dry cocoa, a bit of smoke, burnt caramel, earthy bitterness, brownies. Great stuff overall. Appearance: pours clear black with small beige soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, chocolate, coffee, oak, alcohol and some bourbon hints. palette strong roasted malty aroma, average carbonation, full body, average yo high sweetness, balanced by an average to high bitterness, long duration and an oily texture. Overall: powerful and intense stout
