Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark black body with thinnest head. Nose of molasses, caramel, sweets. Taste is stoutlike with lots of malts and molasses. Sweet texture. Quite an enjoyable stout. The Jack Daniels kicks in at the finish. Well done. PotjeBier (3628) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 29, 2012
33 cl bottle (from De Bierkoning) @ home. Almost black color, hardly any head. Aroma’s: malty sweet, roast, drop/laurel, soy sauce, aniseed (or other winterspices), hints of peat, whiskey, fruit (blackberry). Flavor is medium sweet, bit herbal. Alcohol certainly doesn’t feel like 10%. Medium body. Finishes somewhat ashy and medium bitter. Countbeer (6591) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAR 25, 2012
Bottle: Small off white creamy bubbly half open lacing on top of an almost black beer with a brown edge. Smell poo, mint, ash, liquor, liquorice, coal. Taste green grass, old liquorice, mint, light roasted malts, herbs, some hops, mint branches and some light light oak. Grassy roasted hoppy mint ish aftertaste. Low carbo, soft light watery texture, medium to full body and a light creamy ish texture. Looks like this beer fell into a barrel with mint. Damn! Guess I tasted a bad bottled version... ryanfolty (2585) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - MAR 14, 2012

33cl, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2012, from De Bierkoning Amsterdam, complex Stout, roasted/spicy and slightly woody/alcoholic, not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, very good Winter brew, yet expensive! dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - FEB 19, 2012
The Jack Daniels is present and gives great taste to this beer. This is an Emelisse White Label winterstout so talking about all the other things seems like a waste to me.

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2012. Pitch black colored beer with a slightly brown lacing on top. Smell burned malts and clearly wood. Taste roastyness, burned malts, whiskey, slightly alcohol. Full flavoured, good mouthfeel. Medium carbonation, full body. Lovely! JorisPPattyn (10062) - BELGIUM - JAN 29, 2012
Small, tannish head over black beer with brown lining. End of bottle fully yeast-filled. Strong roasted nose with outspoken ureum aromas, and drying grass. Coffee, hints at spirit. Again very roasted with roasted barley sourish imprint, finish being sweetish-bitter. Peppery character, lots of roasted coffeebeans. Bitter chocolate retronasal, carrying a long-lasting roastiness into the aftertaste, with much alcoholwarming. Velvety-rich, viscous feel. Pretty well-balanced for such an outspoken beer. Many thanks to Kees! Borresteijn (7400) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 22, 2012
On tap at PINT Winterbierfestival ’12, ABV 10%, and Jack Daniels Barrel Aged. Black colour, no head. Aroma of JD, vanilla, Dutch liquorice, roasted malts, light herbal and sweet. Flavour is herbal (like Jagermeister) liquorice, hard roasted malts, creamy bourbon, some coffee, vanilla, light herbal roasted bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. Lovely beer.
