UPDATED: JUL 7, 2011

3/07/2011 from tap @ Emelisse lunch with Han Hidalgo (2011-305)

Cloudy yellow to orange beer, very creamy off-white head, stable and very nice lacing. Aroma: citrus notes, yeast, spices, bit soapy. MF: light carbon, full body. Taste: sour start, very spicy, yeast, bit dirty, bitter hops, some sweet malts, banana on warming up, but not much. Aftertaste: lemony, yeast, bitter touch. Not the best Hefeweizen.

Bottle from the brewery. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a frothy white head and no lace. The aroma is typical crushed banana. The flavour is mainly of apple. Its more acidic that a regular witbier and for me thats no bad thing as I feel it improves the flavour and makes for a more refreshing beer.

Pretty acidic. Orange coloured and unclear. Has a white head, lasting. Aroma is acidic, faint sugar-notes too. Faint-faint coriander, citrus, lemon.

Erzengel (8441) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2013
Golden in colour, white head. The beer starts slightly sour, highly carbonated, but a bit rounder than expected. Smooth, banana, clove. The mainpart is slightly sweet-sour. A bit artificial, but nice. The aftertaste is a bit perfumy, unround, arificial, but highly drinkable.

Aroma has lots of soapy citrus, some wheat and peaches. Flavour is somewhat spicy with wheat, yeast and some soapy citrus. A wit with some hefeweizen features.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy orange colour with a small white, foamy head. Aroma of strong lemon, peach and wheat. Flavour of rough wheat, citrus, lime, sweet fruits and yeast with some malty tones. Light/medium bodied with a fruity finish. Easy to drink and quite refreshing.
