Borefts’12, zwart, bruine schuimkraag, een typische stout maar heel sterk, waardoor het mij teveel wordt, niet mijn smaak

@BBF12. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, heavy alcohol, chocolate and liquorish. Flavour is roasted malt, heavy burning alcohol, chocolate and coffee.

Draught @ 4th Borefts Beer Festival 2012, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, alcohol, dried fruit and dark dried fruit - berry. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, wood, alcohol, dark roasted, chocolate, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. IMO. too much. [20120928]

Intensiv cremiger Start mit spürbarem Alkohol. Schwer, lange anhaltend. Tiefe süße Malzaromen, sehr stark aber noch ausgewogen. Scharfer und bitterer Ausklang. 13/12/8/12//12

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2012. Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, alcohol and licorice. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness with alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer with a high level of alcohol.

Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 5, 2012
From tap @ Borefts 2012. This one is deep dark brown - almost black in color and it has a small eventually sidesticking brown head. The aroma is really nice with lots of vanilla and wood. Also there is an strong but gentle alcohol punch and it contains a faint smoky touch. Not much more. Punchy alcohol hits you on the tongue. It’s actually average on the carbonation level and sticky sweet in the mouthfeel. Chocolate and really hoppy bitter concentrated caramel in the taste. Woody with loads of salty strong licorice in the flavor. It really kicks a punch this one, but it’s never too much. At least not at this time of the night, huh?. Enjoyed this as a last for the night-beer. Sipp-sipp. 28.09.2012

Huubs (142) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2012
Aldus Huubs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Jet black colour, tan head, surprisingly lasting. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, mocha, light alcohol, red fruits and light citrus. Sweet flavour, light bitter roasted malts, coffee, lots of roasted malts. Creamy and quite mild for a 25% beer. Finish coffee, roasted malts with only a light alcoholic touch.
(Draught @ 4th BBF, Bodegraven. Thanks for sharing, 77ships!)

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2012
Tasted at 4th BBF @ De Molen. Black pour. Huge roasty aroma, some alcohol, chocolate and caramel. Flavor is amazingly full, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, great balance and full body. Great brew.

Christian (13685) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 7, 2012
Boreft Beer Festival 2012. Near black with a red highlight. Lasting tan head. Aroma of dried fruit, licorice and strong alcohol. Sweet licorice and hot, hot alcohol in the flavour. Bitter finish
