On tap at borefts 2012, pours very syrupy and thick, with a tiny head of big round bubbles, color and structure that can barely be distinguished from syrup. Smell of rum, the usual bit of caramel, vanilla and a hint of roasted coffee and cocoa. This warms the throat, but drinks quite easily. Id love to have a bottle of this, but I was told this was a one time experiment. worldbeertaste (1819) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2013
Seems like you can only get this Borefts De Molen Beer festival. The brewer says that it is never been bottled. Solid black oily pour with a medium mocha, disappearing, lacy brown head. Smells of deep dark chocolate, malt, blackberries, caramel, ash, smoke, coffee, deep roast burn. Smells Black. Warms tummy. Full thick oily body with medium carbonation. Thick concentrated chocolate mocha sweetness that is added to by dark fruit, and moves into a incredible deep coffee, roast black roasty finish. Milky smooth with an ash so strong ashy finish that masks the alcohol well. Incredible beer that should be bottled. Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 9, 2012
Tasted at 4th BBF @ De Molen. Black pour. Huge roasty aroma, some alcohol, chocolate and caramel. Flavor is amazingly full, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, great balance and full body. Great brew. ElManana (2079) - Scheldewindeke, BELGIUM - OCT 19, 2013
Dark brown, small brown head. Aroma is mild roasted malts, some alcohol. taste very much like a normal imperial stout, roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Alcohol is very well hidden. Thick, oily body with quiet high carbonation. sic1314 (4773) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2012
On tap at Borefts. Pours the usual deep, dark and mysterious. Aroma is of the usual nature but incredibly concentrated, a full nose of malt, dark chocolate and heavy fruits. Superb, vinous full body and a dry, sweet aftertaste.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2013 Draft @ Borefts 2012. Pours pure black with a shockingly big mocha head for such a beer, the head starts descending pretty fast. Smells like a thick milkshake mocha, chocolate, thick malt, strong concentrate, boozy but not extremely, dark fruits. Taste is a concentrate of the original - dub - but yeah that is how this taste like. Taste is very thick mocha, concentrated, sweet, thick chocolate, very thick, some dark fruits, milkshake-like, very coffee, touch licorice, lightly vinous, you can take only small sips of this, that is in order to make it enjoyable, you take a sip, warming, the booze comes but it is defiantly nice in a shot-glass portion, that is pretty much how it was meant to work, pretty thick stuff, thick body, think they made 20 liters as an experiment - no bottling plans, what was it they took to start with 60? //// Tried the new version @ Borefts 2013: draft. Crazily alcoholic & harsh, very hard to drink, so yeah, the 2012 one was way better. kermis (14955) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 28, 2012
Draft at Borefts. Pours dark brown with a massive beige head. Aroma is massive chocolate, molasses, some peat, roasted malt, alcohol and some coffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Mouthfeel is so thick it’s unreal, like drinking syrup. Full bodied with soft carbonation. really good! Borresteijn (7593) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 29, 2012
On tap at BBF’12. Black colour, thick beige head. Aroma is sweet, loads of roasted malts, dark fruits, coffee, sweet whisky, alcohol. Flavour is sweet, roasted malts, lots of really nice coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, alcohol, but not boozy, roasted bitter and light alcoholic finish. Fullbodied, almost slimey, lots of carbonation. Great stuff.
