Pours gold Amber. Low carbonation, low white head. Malty aroma. Caramel. Taste is malty, very English. Medium low bitterness. Low caramel taste, bread. Medium low mouthfeel. Overall. English type of ale, good for a winter drinking ale. AtronSeige (1707) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - APR 30, 2014
Aroma: Floral, piney, honey, spice, chemical
Appearance: Clear, light copper body. Medium fizzy white head. Lacing.
Flavour: Grassy, piney, spice, harsh bitterness, astringent, chemical. Medium sweetness
Palate: Medium bodied, soft carbonation.
Overall: The astringency makes this hard to drink.
550 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Brett
6B. Blonde Ale JorisPPattyn (10063) - BELGIUM - FEB 17, 2013
Fluffy off-white head, irregular over faintly hazed, well-carbonated ochre-gold beer. Very little nose, bit arachide/fatty acids, pale malts. Bit oxydized, very slightly toasted malts, and a very slight smokiness; and indeed, arachide/fatty acids. Bitterness in the aftertaste. Prickly carbonation, medium bodied, rather slick. Slight fermentation defects; but remaining quite drinkable. Thanks to Afrikoander Mathieu
