Bottle, poured black with a large frothy beige head. A deliciously rich malty aroma, sweet and alcoholic at first and then bitter chocolate at the back of the nostrils. Quite light on the palate, the dryness being quite gentle. The malty flavour is nicely roasted. Not as aggressive as some porters, but very driankable. Defreni (3254) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2007
Flaske. EGentlig udemærket ret sødlig porter. Men med absolut ingen mundfylde hvilket trækker en del ned. Ellers lover det egentlig godt for den kasse blandet Emerson jeg har stående. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 31, 2007
The off-white head quickly fades from the soya brown clearness. Brown sugar and anise greet us in a rather rooty veil. Sweet brown malts maintain the anise touch while procuring earthy and rooty nuances. Not very roasty at all. Kinda dull bodied, medium to high carbonation is kinda biting - the ensemble simplifies the flavours. Mellow indeed, almost one-dimensional flavour profile, but what is there is pleasant. voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 3, 2007
Clear black with a large creamy tan head. Fruity aroma, plums, chocolate, smoke, earthy hops, and a bunch of roasty malted notes. Medium body, has quite a dry feel to it overall, but manages to remain pretty smooth. Flavours of stonefruit, coffee and more fresh earthy hops. A bit of fresh roast barley lingers through to the finish. Overall its very well balanced and a pleasure to drink. MiP (15920) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 28, 2007

CBF07 sample. Pours deep brown to black. Aroma of roasted malt and only slight citric. Flavour is rye malt and slight hoppy, dried fruit note. Finish is malty sweet into dry rye. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2007
Nice, creamy head on this brown/black beer. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, smoke, tar and light notes of chocolate and a good bitterness. This was one of my early ratings, and I re-sampled it again in August 2005. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and a bit of coffee. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, licorice, coffee, a hint of smoke and a nice bitterness in the finish. Even if I like it, I think it’s a bit out of balance. vanvenlo (1894) - Glen Iris, AUSTRALIA - JAN 24, 2007
1 Jul 2006 - Lovely sweet roasted choc malt aroma. dark black colour, oridnary head and suds lacing. Big roasted malt flavour with some sharpness but softens at the right temperature (warmer). Finishes with a sharpmalt and bitterness.
