Bottle from Plonk. Clear reddish-black, smoot, easy drinking porter, dry finish. Aroma of roasted malt, bitter cocoa, slightly smoky. Medium bitterness balances well with the chocolatey roast malt, some sweetness there too. Not bad.

Draft at the brewery. Dark brown color with a well formed beige head. Aroma is damp cellar, damp leaves, roast, cold brew coffee. Flavor is both bitter and sweet, coffee and dark chocolate, black tea. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Good.

Butelka wypite na Nowej Zelandii w 2006r? Kolor czarny, piana dośc trwała, aromat karmelu i lekko kawy, smak kwaskowy, wytrawne piwo do wypicia z przyjemnością.Średnia goryczka zostawia mocny posmak na podniebieniu.

Pours pitch black with a tan head that lingers before getting shy and retreating to the edges. Aroma is of earthy hops and cocoa powder. Some toasty/breadiness. Flavor starts with Light caramel moving to toast, chocolate, and roasty grains. Carbonation is higher than I prefer, but itís in a bottle, not on the hand pump. Easy drinking with itís light/medium body and off-dry finish. A well balanced porter.

Earthy caramel features. Looks like a Porter with light bitter taste and finish. As good overall as my standard for this ale type, Cooperís Stout, but as more expensive , not so good value. Will try again.

Black with a beige head. Aroma is slightly burnt malts, chocolate, earth, with a touch of vanilla. Medium bodied. Flavor is dirty earth hops, malt, roasted coffee, chocolate. Slightly dry finish with a little sweetness. Nothing complex with this one but a good brew.
