UPDATED: MAR 4, 2006 This is a great beer. Strong citrus hops in aroma and flavor. Kind of dark murky copper color with a nice frothy head. Above average amber ale....Rerate... a little less intense, more watery, and more soapy tasting. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUN 15, 2005
Had this one on draught in Dundee, Illinois. A somewhat dissapointing product from Emmetts. Deep reddish color, thick head, somewhat hoppy but mostly just a sweet-sour taste that I didn’t really get into. Your standard average Amber but that’s not what I’ve come to expect from this place. frankenkitty (2014) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2005
Copper-colored with an unending, large, creamy head. Pleasantly hopped aroma was grapefruit, orange and pine. Hoppiness continued in the flavor providing a moderate bitterness throughout the tasting and left a dry, fruity finish. Unevenly balanced, bumping up the malts would make it truly delicious.

Palatine location. Sweet and hoppy - this smells great. Orange glow. Tastes like a pale ale, but it’s pretty straightforward. Smokey-rye quality. Good stuff. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 18, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2005 This is a neat drink. I’m not a big fan of ambers (a middle-of-the-road ale at best of times, to me), but I was pleasantly surprised by this clear, deep amber brew with a lofty off-white head. The aroma was controlled by some heavy duty floral hopping backed by a richly sweet malt scent. Very lively in the mouth, this tasted of sweet caramel malts beneath a heartily hopped bitter floral flavor. It finishes on a lingering bitter taste. Good stuff.

begining is sweet and malty, but comes off a little lacking in the finish. still solid though. becksgenius (110) - Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2004
Once again the floral hops are the key here. Its indicative of all thier brews. the hops is a large component of each of thier brews.
