Quite possibly the best Hefe Ive ever tasted. All banana and clover in the nose. Banana and lemon/citrus with a sweet finish. I could enjoy this all the time. SubstanceT (1092) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 9, 2006
On tap at Emmett’s in West Dundee. So we go in wanting to try the new pils and the maibock and just as we are getting up to leave this guy walks in with the sign and tap handles for this beer. He hooks up the tap and puts the sign up. Well, I wish that I could say that I was the first customer to try this years batch but someone beat me to it.

Golden hazy with a big white head that was quickly discipating. The nose was full of bananna, yeast and grains. You could smell this thing from like 5 feet away. The taste was thick and chewy with malts yeast then more towards the end a swift kick of bitter hops. Wow, this is a Hefe!
Bronzed-amber in color, well-hazed, capped with a creamy-and-holding head, leaving a thickish lace. Clove and banana are well-apparent in the aroma with a light hint of metal. Flavor is bready with the banana, spice and a hint of vanilla... very much like liquid banana bread, mmmmmm. Creamy body with a slight sour tingle to finish. Pretty danged good, if y’ ask me.

It seems like a lot of these local brewpubs are making some pretty solid German hefeweizens, this one is no exception. Tons of banana and sweetness in the aroma. Flavor I thought was dominated by bubblegum. Another fantastic beer from Emmetts. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - MAY 13, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2010 Murky orange. Full clovey, banana aroma. Flavor is rich, savory, with a cleansing citric tartness. Good wheat beer.

Sampler at the brewery. Cloudy yellow, good head. Nice looking hefe. Very strong aromas of banana. Flavor follows suit- nice soft mouthfeel and lots of bananas and a touch of lemon/citrus at the end for balance. I liked it a lot. badgerben (5253) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 20, 2005
Hazy yellow color with a small head. Slight aroma of bananas. That banana really comes out strong in the taste, coupled with traditional wheat and yeast. Not really dry or sweet, but nicely balanced in the middle. Quite a nice little hefe! Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - JUN 3, 2009
Tasted at Emmetts Tavern in West Dundee during their quarterly beer tasting. Cloudy golden color with a slight orange coloring, very thick white head and a mod/high amount of carbonation. Aroma has a pronounced lemon aroma with clove and bready notes. Flavor is a very robust lemon fruitiness, clove hides behind the fruit flavor but melds well with it. Yeast as a good amount of density to the brew and a smooth bready flavor with a slight dry ending. Overall a pretty good beer and a the perfect amount of yeast in your glass from tap. On draft at the Dundee location. A good hefeweizen. Nice banana and clove flavor, true to the style. Might be the best offering from this brewer. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 5, 2005
Honey Haze Coloring with White Ring. Belgian Yeast, Coriander Aroma. Citrusy Notes, Banana, Belgian Yeast and a Light Wheat Aftertaste. Smooth Mouthfeel. Quite Nice.
