Tap. Hands down one of my favorite pale ales. I’m a stone’s throw from the Ale House so I have it quite a bit. Just a wonderful beer witht he right mix of malt and hops. It’s just right. Highly recommended. bluekarma (1) - chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 8, 2013 does not count
Golden orange color with a white head. Great citrus hop aroma. Nice grapefruit hop flavor. medium body with good carbonation. Very balanced. Great example for the style conicus (1) - palatine, Illinois, USA - MAR 15, 2010 does not count
An outstanding representation of what an American Pale Ale should be. The citrus nose and palate are ridiculously good. I believe people blur the line of an IPA and an APA. Those who can appreciate the difference will love this beer. DoubleBagger (2) - USA - MAY 13, 2010 does not count
Great aroma, and nice head are the first impressions with this beer. Lots of hop character, especially for an APA. Great beer overall. beasley (1) - Illinois, USA - MAY 26, 2010 does not count
I love this beer and am a loyal customer of Emmett’s. I have been drinking this beer for years, and love that it’s now available in bottles! It’s fresh aroma, hint of grapefruit and hoppy flavor keeps me coming back to the local brewery!

Phenomenal Pale ale in my opinion. Super smooth, thought it was from a cask, but apparently it was not. Quite sweet with a wonderful combo of malt and hops, just about perfect if i may say so. paulwastaken (17) - - APR 16, 2011
Great beer. Tried it at the chicago day of the ales 2011 event. Second beer i tried that day and i really enjoyed it. ElGaucho (2401) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - MAY 7, 2006
Glad to see my fellow Ratebeer bretheren agree with me on this one. Clear hops in the nose, although not overly strong. Clear, dark gold body with no visible carbonation and a slightly off-white head. As with most Emmett’s brews, excellent head. Strong hop profile; in fact, this drinks more like an IPA than an APA. Well balanced; excellent; growler worthy. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - JUN 12, 2007
Had this one on draught at the ale house in Oswego, Illinois. Medium orange pour with a thick, white head, very floral, rosy nose, awesome hoppiness fading into a delicate, carmelly finish. Very good! joshiez (48) - USA - OCT 26, 2007
A really great beer. Poured from a tap at Emmetts, this beer came with a nice golden color, and a beautiful pale head. The smell is like a putting your face into a handful of hops. So strong! The taste was strange to me though. It was very refreshing, and I wanted to just drink the whole thing down at once. But when you actually put the beer down, you get the spicy aftertaste. It is bitter...not bad, but almost too spicy. At first its so captivating, but by the end of the pint, you just want to finish it off. I can’t imagine drinking a lot of this, but it is certainly a great beer.
