Bottle shared by someone at Mile, pours black with smaller head. Notes are pretty dry and roasty: chocolate, burnt coffee, wood, and ash. Medium bodied. Ok

A perfect stout. Really well balanced dark malts for a nice roasted chocolate goodness with a touch of espresso. On nitro tap it goes down like silk.

Sampled a bit of this at the brew pub. Decent. True to style. Dry dominated by roasted dark and crystal malt. Would try again.

Sample at the brewpub. Brownish-black color with a medium foamy beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, coffee and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a mild coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

6 oz. taster @ EBC. Nice smell of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate. Tastes just like it smells, roasted malt, bitter in the middle with a hint of coffee to round it out. Smooth body, low carbonation and medium bodied. Easy drinking and the best thing I sampled at Empire.

A proper rich stout. I had it out on the patio and it kept me warm. It has more of an alcohol taste than other locally made stouts, I find, but it isnt over-powering. Perfect creaminess that goes down easy. Highly recommended!

A roasty, creamy stout that stands out as one of Empire?s mainstays, being on nitro really helps this beer develop its rich but not overpowering flavors. A great session stout.
