This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt brown malt and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Bottle. Nose very rich in chocolate and roast, strong roast coffee, and some mild meaty smoke as a great accent. Pour dark brown, just a light tawny poking out from the bottom, head is very tight nitro tan. Taste is very dry with strong bitterness, some charred and scorched notes, rather on the brutal side save for the nitro-lent smoothness that makes it accessible. Medium-full body that feels too full at times, malty base fat and soft without every feeling or tasting "malty", and there’s mild astringency that lasts into the aftertaste. It’s too weighty to be a Guinness clone (and there’s no significant tanginess), but I rather like darkness without cloying imperialization. [2017.01.23: 3.7]
