We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. A Yeti for summer? Hell yes.

Pours black with very little dark brown head. Smells of dark roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla and slight hops. Taste is the same with some alcohol burn and pepper notes.

4 finger dark tan coloured head. Opaque black. Aroma is dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, soy, oatmeal and lemon zest. Hints of caramel. Taste is dark chocolate, bitter coffee, cocoa powder, oak and chili heat. Low on sweetness. Dry harshness from cocoa powder. Medium thickness. Pretty big bitterness but not the kind I prefer. Overall: Was expecting this to be the greatest Yeti but Id much rather drink the regular and the Oak Aged over this. Not a fan of spicyness in my beers and it is quite prominent in this. The cayenne, along with a cloud of bitterness, covers the wonderful Yeti taste thats lying there in the background (and thats why this didnt recieve a lower rating). Honestly, this should be named "Chili Oak Aged yeti" because theres lots of that but barely any sweetness in this, which you expect from something with "Chocolate" in its name. Ohwell, rant over.

Bomber bottled 3/18/2016 - pours super dark like tar with a thin brown head. Wonderful aroma of coffee, chocolate, loam, cocoa and roasted wood. Big flavors make a beautiful beer here - bitter dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted barley, boozy warmth and a burnt bitter finish.

Pours black with brown foam. Aroma is lots of chocolate and vanilla, some nuts and butter, roasted tones, Very smooth mouthfeeling, full and nice, great balance between sweetness and bitterness. Coffee, roast, some dried fruits. The finish is lots and lots of heavy dark cacao and very bitter in the end. Enjoyable but a true long zipper!

UPDATED: APR 7, 2017 Ok! I had really big expectations on this one. Appearance as expected, check! Aroma is big with oak and smoke, check! Taste,... well, a bit too hard on the roasted malt. Intense coffee and the cayenne is there in the end. Good, but a bit overrated beer.

Aged in my beercellar for almost three years. Bought September 5, 2014.

The beer pours like thick motoroil, totally black with a one finger high, creamy, mocha colored head.

Nose: Dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, molasses, oak and a hint of vanilla.
Taste: Oh, so smooth! The years in the beercellar has made this beer smoother and softer. Chocolate, oak, coffee, cocoa beans, vanilla and brownie.
Mouth: Low, soft carbonation. Smooth, complex texture. Round and fantastic delicious!

This is a beer in a 22 oz bottle that has been matured to perfection!
So smooth, complex, sweet, dry, bitter... everything! Just love it!

Im glad I still have a few bottles of 2014 edition saved :-)
