4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is near perfect. I shared a bottle of this with my buddy Beerbaron617 the other day and I was THOROUGHLY impressed. We watched a little video from the Dogfish Head website and it warned that this was much hoppier than their typical brews - which made me sort of nervous, but upon drinking, man oh man! This beer is the business! It’s got the aroma of piney hops and big grapefruit citrus! The taste follows through with a silky smooth mouthfeel. I just love this.
From the 2016 batch in the 750 ml. bottle. Review no. 3,200! It has an orange-amber pour underneath a decent, lasting off-white head. Nice clarity. The aroma brings out sweet breaded malt sensations more than hops but I do pick up a pleasant orange, tangerine, and citrus hop profile underneath. No alcohol whatsoever for 9% ABV. Medium to full body. Basic malt sweetness in the taste followed by a subtle but enjoyable citrus and orange character. Bitterness is mild to moderate. But I love how the alcohol is buried and there is none to talk about. Sweet too with a bitter cap at the finish. Worth trying. kevinator (2205) - The Colony, Texas, USA - NOV 15, 2016
Hop bomb. Aroma was very dank with bitterness and citrus. Kind of earthy. Light caramel color with a good head. Medium weight and strong carbonation. Flavors were bold like most from DFH. Well balanced with a mild background sweetness. Claves77 (260) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2016
Perfect caramel color with our white topping. Medium hop smell with Orange bread booted. Strong upfront taste with lasting finish. Great sipping strong ipa. wlajwl (6811) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 23, 2016
Aroma is spices, pine and complex malts. The flavor is citrus, earthy, spices, malts and a bitter/slightly dry finish. Like a very high alcohol American Pale Ale, the bottle conditioning made this very smooth. mansquito (6437) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 6, 2016
Beer and Smoke, Brooklyn bottle: pours deep copper with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit and a hefty bit of hops. Taste is lightly sweet. Not too bitter. Not my favorite.

Pours a ever so slightly hazy copper color with a pillowy, white head that stays forever. Generous lacing. Nose is hay and grass with citrus notes and a hint of biscuit. Taste is bitter upfront, but the malt comes through in the mid-palate nicely. Slightly oily mouthfeel, boozy warmth, long hop finish. Excellent brew. ajnepple (6622) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 1, 2016
On tap at Hops & Pie. Clear orange appearance with a lacy white head. Aroma of pine, floral notes and resinous hops. Similar flavor, hop-forward, pretty standard, straight up DIPA here. bookman10 (1121) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - JUL 30, 2016
Pours a slightly hazy, amber-yellow, with middling head. Aroma is very grassy, with some citrus and herbal elements as well. Flavor is rather sharp. Lots of hop bite, some citrus, some spruce, a touch of nuttiness, some breadiness. Alcohol content is well hidden--you can tell it’s there, but not really taste it. The booziness present in so many of these hop bombs isn’t a factor. Pretty good, all in all. CObiased (499) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - JUL 22, 2016
Bomber - pours a clear brilliant golden orange with a thick, fluffy off white head. The aroma reminds me more of an English IPA with hops and malt coming thru. Nice fruity hop flavor blends well with the light caramel and fruity malts. A little boozy. Not bad, different hman43 (1588) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUL 14, 2016
It pours gold with an off white head. This is a bit hazy overall. There are aromas of pine, floral, pineapple, and some bread. There is an initial sweet flavor with citrus, floral, pineapple, pine, and bread. It is moderately bitter, with a moderate body and some alcohol warming. Overall for the ABV it is a fairly easy drinking hop driven IPA.
