COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aventinus, the Wheat Doppelbock of Bavaria, has always been known to be the most intense and complex wheat beer in the world. This was the case for the past sixty years, but not anymore...
Up until the 1940’s, Aventinus was shipped all over Bavaria in containers lacking temperature control. Consequently, the precious drink partially froze during transportation. Unaware that the brew was concentrated by the separation of water from the liquid. People were baffled by this unique version of Aventinus. By chance, the first Aventinus Eisbock was created.
Well aware of this story, Hans Peter Drexler, brewmaster of the Schneider brewery, decided to recreate this classic "mistake" in a modern controlled facility. Thus, the Aventinus Eisbock is reborn sixty years later ... Prost!

Great beer. Strong notes of banana with hints of creamy alcohol. Dark brown hue with a creamy banana with some yeast on the end. Excellent.

Ciemnowiśniowe, mętne piwo z niezłą pianą. Aromat winny, owocowy, trochę czuć alkohol. W smaku podobnie śliwki, rodzynki, lekko kwaskowate, alkohol grzeje w przełyku. Bardzo dobry eisbock

2016 bottle. Cloudy, even muddy copper to brown colour, small tan head with good lacing. Aroma of plums, dried fruits, raisins, caramel, bananas and light bread. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter, plums, dried fruits, figs, raisins, bananas, with notes of caramel, bread and alcohol. Fruity and boozy bittersweet finish. Medium to full body, oily texture, average carbonation. Overall: very good beer, reallly intense, with great flavour depth, with a bit too much alcohol in taste (even after 1,5 years - I need to try older version).

Anyway, smaczy.

33cl bottle, date 2022. Aroma first is very woody, smoky and sweet. In glass it becomes much more fruity, bread, caramel, raising, figs, tons of bananas. Taste is very sweet, but it is kinda spoiled by dry feeling of harsh alcohol. Had it been less alcoholic, it would've been very, very good. Overall it's just a good beer.

Pours mahogany with substantial, foamy head. Aroma is plums with a touch of spice. Taste is cinnamon, nutmeg and raisin, all taking turns. Aftertaste is light spice. An outstanding bock with a kick.
