Intergalactic Fantastic Oak Aged Stout
The irony of existentialism, the parody of being and the inherent contradictions of post-modernism, all so delicately conveyed by the blocky, pixelated arcade action have all been painstakingly recreated in this bottles contents.

This imperial stout is brewed with copious amounts of speciality malts, jasmine and cranberries. After fermentation we then dry-hop this killer stout with a bucketload of our favourite hops before carefully ageing the beer on French toasted oak chips.

It is all about moderation. Everything in moderation, including moderation itself. What logically follows is that you must, from time, have excess. This beer is for those times.
Formally 18.2 % ABV

Bottle, thank you Colin and Kendra! Finally trying it! Pitch black, very little head. Really inviting oak aroma mixed with some roast and a lot of alcohol. Silky smooth mouthfeel. First taste is quite mild - all sweet stout and oak - gives way to lots of warming alcohol and roast and finally to ear warming alcohol in very long finish. Man, this is quite easy to drink at this crazy percentage. I hate using the word smooth, but this just feels smooth - perfect really. Everything is expertly balanced. Every brewer attempting to do a oak aged version of a beer should be required to try this. So much flavour, so complex, so good. So glad I got to try it.

From estucerveza. In Teku glass. Watching Steve Jobs film. At first i found it excessively sweet, but as warms up it improves, becomes more balanced and tasty, with molasses notes. The high abv is pretty well hidden, some warmth is noticeable but not as much as the abv could suggest and doesnt bother at all

Red fruits, molasses, alcohol. Quite tart in taste, very sweet and very alcoholic. Tiring, hard to finish.

Dużo gorzkiej czekolady i pralin w aromacie. W smaku do tego wszystkiego dochodzi delikatny karmel i subtelne nuty czerwonych owoców. Gęste, oleiste. Alkoholu nie wyczułem - ogromny szacunek. Niczym likier o smaku gorzkiej czekolady. No i piana nawet była. Super!

Tap at brewdog Camden. Pours jet black with a tan head. Nose is alcohol, dark berries, sweet and syrupy. Upfront is sweet, some molasses, dark berries melding into an alcohol finish, nowhere near as strong as it’s abv would imply. Really gains some character as it heats up.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2017 Black coloured ale with a small cream coloured head. Aroma: roasted malt, alcohol, sweetness and some vanilla. Taste: sweet, alcohol, roasted malt, red fruits, coffee and some liquorice. Think mouthfeel with low carbonation.

Kaum Bitternoten schmeckbar.

Several years ago I drunk 18.2% version, but I didn’t rated it couse I become RB member a few years later. Nevermind. Newer version have "just" 16,5% abv. and new label which isn’t so fascinanting as the older one. Pours oily black, opaque, with dissipating light brown tan head. Aroma: prevails autolyzed-sulfury notes as soy souce, dark malts, roasted grain... Flavour is very similar: umami, soy souce (sulfury), tongue-coating, tomato (once again umami). This notes absolutely prevails over dark malts, roasted grain and hops. As I know very low notes of umami/ soy souce are acceptable in beers with sch a high abv. but in this case those flavours are too intense and unpleasant. When it warms up it became more pleasant, little more balanced with gentle sherry or rum-like alcohol note (which is very well hidden due high abv.!). Finish is slightly stucky dry, body is full, texture smooth, carbonation is moderate.

[Kran] Wygląd: Czarne nieprzejrzyste, piany brak. Aromat: Potężna czekolada, kawa, trochę suszonych owoców, alkohol. Spodziewałem się nieco więcej. Smak: Nisko wysycone, gęste, gorzka czekolada, popiół, ciężkie, raczej słodkie.
