COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old lambics.
A true Geuze - a blend of 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambic, unfiltered and unpasteurized, and aged in the bottle for at least a year after blending. Refermentation in the bottle gives this Geuze its famous champagne-like spritziness. The lambic that goes into it is brewed only with 60% barley malt, 40% unmalted wheat, aged hops, and water, spontaneously fermented by wild yeasts, and matured in oak casks.

Bathory (458) - Kverneland, - NOV 13, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 19, 2012 Warm golden colour with a soapy white colour. Aroma is quite sweet; green apples, barnyard and some candy sugar maybe. Flavour is amazing! Green apples, oak, coriander and some citric notes. Super fresh mothfeel and a really good balance. A bit sweeter than many oude geuzue I?ve had before, the sourness are perfect. Really a quality brew.

Bottle. Golden colour, clear, head disappears almost completely. Aroma is wood, leather, green apple, lemon. Heavy sour. Light body, lively carbonation, quite astringent. Good.

Corked & caged 375mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars, Melbourne. BB 26/08/2036 Pours a lively clear pale gold body. Complex aroma - cereals & hay, white wine vinegar, green apple, bruised pineapple, grapefruit, white grapes, nice hint of oak. Lovely texture, very fine bead, bracing acidity, long drawn out finish, moreishly mouth puckeringly juicy. Intense body - lots of grapefruit, and grapes, and oak, and green apple. Acidity builds, acetic acid twang, funky hard cheese notes, beautifully balanced. Fantastic beer - amazingly elegant!

Too carbonated, but very nice, smooth deep barnyard funk well balanced with complex medium high sourness, full of different sour fruit aromatics (citrus).

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2017 Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has sour citrus and barnyard with a cellar feel. Taste is sour with grapefruit, rowen berries and leather with some barnyard. Really nice.

Nice orange pour, bit of white foam. Nose has this deep musty lambic sourness. Tastes tart, nice barley biscuit base with beautiful sour acidity. Funky farmhouse character there as well, elegantly bitter. Finishes dry, long tart linger. Great classic.

Taste from a 375ml bottle courtesy of David at Fat Fat Beer Horse, Xiamen. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of white wine and cider. Sour taste and finish.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2017 Kolor miedziany, klarowny. Piana jest biala, wysoka, i bardzo trwała. Redukuje do grubej warstwy, pozostawiając sporo zdobień. Goryczka pestkowa idzie w parze z cierpkością. Wysycenie wysokie w kierunku do średniego, pasuje idealnie.

Bien faite.
