COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, "the best barrel of the year". The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, corn, hops.

On tap at Carwyn Cellars, 2014 vintage. Pours red. Cherry, strawberry, raspberry, dry cranberry, wood, little herbal, lots of sweet red wine flavour, decent tartness too. Lots of sweet fruit, lots of tart vinegar and a good complexity from the wood too. Fantastic.

75cl bottle, vintage 2013. Brown color with a beige, dense and thin head. Nice aroma typical of Rodenbach beers, with lactic acid and some vinegar notes, red fruits and wood too. Perfectly balanced on the sour and sweeter taste, beautifully fruity but with the lactic acid and wood notes obviously clear too. Medium body. Very easy to drink, great beer.

TASTE: similar to the aroma with a medium sour red wine character, wood, vanilla, slight cherries and oranges. low hop bitterness. soft and slightly tanninic acidity. balanced and smooth. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. no astringency. smooth. OVERALL: a very good wood aged flanders red ale. recommended.

750 mL bottle shared by ebone1988 for his 2,000th rating. Cheers man. The pour is a darker red tinted brown with a thick cap of khaki colored head that falls to a thick ring of dense foam and no lace left behind. The aroma is oaky and tart. There is a light chocolate and a bit of honey. There isn't much of a complexity to it, but the tartness, a smooth and sweet chocolate with a kiss of honey really balance out. The flavor is really smooth. The tartness of the red does pretty well and a light chocolate and oak come through late. It's smooth and a little more complex than the nose. The mouth feel is light to medium bodied with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly sweet fruit and chocolate. This is pretty good. 7 4 8 4 15

Bardzo fajna piwuna, mogłaby jednak być cięższa, bardziej intensywna i octowa. Vintage 2014

’t is wijn! Uniek!

2011 edition, barrel no. 95. Red beer with almost no had. Aromas of red cherries, sour notes, lots of fruits. Sour and sweet, very fruity and complex. A bit tannic aftertaste. Very good. And very drinkable.
