Sampled this nuclear drink at the Brewdog meeting at Craftheads back in feb. 2010. Truly a mindblowing brew. Difficult to classify as "beer" but works well as a bridge between whiskey and beer. Very very strong alcohol flavors...but fun to share and sip!

Pours a copper brown with no real head. Nose does have some eisbock or barleywine aquavit mix qualities. But really, this is super boozy and not in a pleasant way. Taste is a lot worse.. ultra boozy and just a huge mess. I can appreciate the experiment but the taste is just not pleasant at all. I enjoyed the previous batch a bit more. Thanks to erzengel for sharing!! Pours a cola color without a head. The smell is very hot and boozey with plenty of peat and roast. The taste also burns with the same roasted malt, and dry peatiness coming through. Medium in body and without carbonation. Not my thing at all - it’s like drinking vodka out of an ashtray. Intense thick roasted peated nose. Great round, no carbonation. The beer starts intense and thick, toffee, peated malt, very concentrated and hard to drink. Viscous. Intense and long roasted dried thick dark peated aftertaste, no depth, just thick, not too much alcohol, a bit sweetish, strange but interesting. But way too less depth.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle. Clear, dark brownish amber, no head. Very intense, peaty, slightly sweetish-malty aroma of mainly peat, some caramel and hints of vanilla. Extremely intense, malty and very peaty taste of massive peat, caramel and some vanilla, followed by a long, very peaty and warming-alcoholic finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, flat.
