Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

This beer pours thicker than any beer I've seen to date. Literally looks like chocolate syrup or motor oil. Eat your heart out older visc. Thick and dark with a filthy little brown head. Looks amazing. Nose is rich milk chocolate, hints of coffee, toffee, molasses and a little pine cone for good measure. Taste is sweet with a great well balanced bitterness that stays on through the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is decadently rich, creamy and soft with a lightly fizzy edge. Heavy body is putting it lightly. It's big and I love it. The finish seems to carry on forever. No shortage of taste. I didn't think it could get better than BORIS but they killed it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A really big beer. Roasted malt and a good bitter finish. Some chocolate with toast. Really dark with a thin head. Very heavy from the oatmeal and an oily feel.

Super intense notes of roasted malts, coffee, hints of cocoa and alcohol, pitch black with a persistant brown head, full body, low carbonation, very easy to drink but very intense again, coffee and an extremely pleasant final...great beer!

750ml bottle. Thanks, Martin! Pours almost black, dark brown colour. Moderate beige head. Raisins, berries, black bread, sour notes, dark chocolate, hints of coffee. Dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty, sour notes, dry finish. Cocoa beans, chocolate, chocolate mousse. Very well balanced, slightly sour, extremely tasty imperial stout.

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate, molasses, roasted malts and coffee.

Opaque black beer with a slight/medium dark brown head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and molasses; ends slightly/medium bitter and dry with roasted malts, coffee and hops.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Amazing to see that the hops are still present? in this beer, bringing loads of dark fruit. Heavy roasted and a lot of coffee in the finish. Molasses are definitely the dominant aspect. Amazing appearance and palate and the flavour is not far behind; the aroma is the only ’downside’ of this beer.

Bottle - well hoppin frog does bitter hoppy beers, and this stout is no different. Has some nice oaky smokiness from the barrel aging and biscuit from the malt. Nice!

Keg Half Pint at Craft 100 Festival at Craft Beer Co, Clapham, London in April 2014 - Pitch Black in colour. Good tan coloured head. Some lacing. Very very Malty; deep roast, roasty/burnt malts, lots of dark chocolate, espresso coffee, liquorice, toffee/caramel, hints of vanilla and smoke. Fruity; dark fruits, raisins. Hoppy; piney hops, very well hopped. Sweet-bitter roasty/burnt malty throughout. Thick and full bodied; quite syrupy. Great depth of roasty flavour. Enjoyed this a lot. Super Impy Stout! No subtlety here. A big punch of chocolate, coffee and raisin sweetness in a thick deep black pour with a fine brown head. The hops don’t hang back either. As elsewhere they make the difference here between a good stout and a great stout - lovely bitter pine notes to take the edge off some of the sweetness. I still needed a couple of glasses of water to get through this though!

Anis tai inkivääri tuoksuu. Kuiva vahvaksi stoutiksi, suklainen, lakritsia, suolaa. Kaikkea mahtavaa. Voisin juoda useammankin, jos pystyisin!
