COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abner (1867-1953) is our great grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his fourteen children. In his honor, this Double IPA is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Abners well. It is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and double dry hopped. Aromatic and flowery, bursting with notes of citrus and pine, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Abner.

As soon I popped the top on this growler I was attacked with a huge hoppy presence. Grapefruit is huge! Citrus isnt lagging far behind and a piney aroma brings up the rear. I could of sat there all night long just taking in the aroma of this beer. Amazing! Now a lot of the time iyoull hear me say something like The taste doesnt match the aroma Not here. I think the taste is actually better than the aroma. The hop profile here isnt clean. Instead its a deep hop aroma. Its hard to explain other than say its a dank and dirty and its just over the top fantastic. Huge amount of grapefruit, citrus, and pine. It just sits there, lingers There seems to be some other tropical fruits mixed in there but the grapefruit and citrus take frontstage and run away with the show. You can tell this beer is dry hopped big time. It just sits in the mouth. Theres a slight bitterness to it that comes in about half way and lingers just a tad on the aftertaste. Everything about this beer just worked for me. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, chewy, and leaves a bit of a dryness on the palette.

[email protected] Well, NYC, USA. Distinctive with sweet and slightly sour nuances of mango and orange. A hint of pine. No malts and medium/light body. Balanced.

Draft. Beautiful peach haze with medium white head. Really nice sweet tropical fruits, citrus, and hints of pine on the nose. Little too sweet and the booze comes through slightly. Really great beer but not my favorite by Hill

Keg at The Farmhouse, Burlington. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Generous pear and passionfruit aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Leafy with passionfruit, grapefruit and white currant. Really bitter finish. Quite good, but not really exceptional.

Another very welcome growler shared by Kermis. Poured hazy orange amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of medium sweet citrus and soft malt. Medium body, flavour is light marmalade, lightly zesty, grapefruit and lime. Sweet and dry finish.

Cloudy orange. Starts off with lots of mango and pineapple than transitions to orange juice and pine. I love the transition on the palate. So good. Another home run from ThePatrickMan.

Pours a cloudy bright orange that fades to yellow with thick white head. A strong citrus hop, floral, pine and tropical fruit aroma. A strong citrus hop bomb taste with floral, pine and light tropical fruit flavors. A lingering sweet citrus and bitter hoo aftertaste. A smooth and balanced flavor.

Pours a bright hazy golden yellow color. The color is simply amazing one of the best looking beers I have seen. The head is medium white. Pretty strong citrus nose, mostly tangerine and grapefruit. Cantaloupes, peaches and other tropical fruits. Full smooth body. It is unlike any other beer I tasted. It is at first pretty sweet and then it the lingering hoppyness its for a first wave, then you get a second lingering dry hops finish. But its not overwhelming it just lasts forever. As a homebrewer I have a hard time understanding how they can make such different waves of flavors. Its so well balanced.
