On tap at Novare Res. Best beer from Marshall Wharf yet. Ace hole is mind blowing. Pours an innocent looking amber yellow. Thin quickly dissipating head. Aroma is your first hint of what’s to come...there’s a hint of sweetness and fruitiness to the aroma. Then one sip, and BAM this is an IPA made with Sorachi Ace hops. The taste is out of this world. It’s like a hoppy mango slice with awesome dusted on top. Dare I say my new favorite beer from Maine? Simply incredible.

16oz can picked up somewhere while traveling in Maine. Really tasty pale ale. Fresh tasting and well brewed. Look forward to trying more MW brews.

From the 16 fl. oz. can dated 5/14/16. The pour is a slightly foggy yellow color with busy carbonation building up to a soft, foamy off-white head. Nice citrus and fruity hop aromas on the nose along with toasted bread and biscuit. Medium or better body. The toasted sweetness is firm but the citrus hops really roar in to add some punch but they do not overtake.

From a 16 oz can it is a cloudy gold with a thick head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is of clementine tgat evolved into hints of pine and Citrus It has a strong tangy finish

From a 16 oz can. Pours a hazy greenish gold with a thick off white head. Grassy nose. Flavors of mandarin orange and pine. Very tasty.

Can at home with potato latkes. Walks the line between APA and IPA, with a light grain backbone and a citrus, spice, and light grapefruit hop profile. The main impression this gave, though, was general satisfaction -- a good, easy drinker.

Draught over the years, most recently at 3 Tides, 7/18/15
Darker copper-amber body is topped by an off-white head that shows low retention, fading to cover quickly. Clarity is high, with a very slight chill-haze.
Light orange, meyer lemon and bits of papaya and other juicy tropical fruits are faint, but pleasant, while caramel and/or crystal malts set in, adding light sweetness and stickiness. Clean yeast and no alcohol or flaws, with a good deal of bitterness but no resin. With warming, more caramel comes forth, with just a touch of buttercream and spicier, grapefruit-tinged hops.
Sweet up front, not horribly so, but with a light cherry note that is the house character of a lot of their ales. Ruby red grapefruit, melons and honey-caramel drizzled atop all are thrown about a lightly chewy body with pinches of light alcohol and a bitter, heavily grassy finish replete with more fruits (cherry, apple, orange, grapefruit). It’s fairly sweet, maybe a bit too much sharp grassiness, but otherwise the hop flavors are delicious and the chewy texture makes it much more of an IPA than pale ale. With the 6.5% abv, I’m not sure why they call it an APA, but it certainly dosent matter.

It is what it is and that is a great Am Pale Ale hopped up on Sorachi Ace and Citra. Nothing wrong. It’s an excellent representation of the unique style!

Can (thanks asheft!) - Amber beer with an off-white head. Nice citrus aroma! Flavour is bitter and crisp. Decent citrus hoppy note, some grapefruit hints. Medium carbonation.

Can from Bier Cellar Portland Deep golden color with a huge frothy white head that persists forever. The citrus and earthy tropical hop notes seem to clash a little. Decent brew, but probably nothing I’d seek out again.
