4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Oh my. I tried really hard not to believe the hype. Growler poured into a hill farmstead tulip. Cloudy with a stiff foamy head. This beer just wafts aroma when you pour it. It’s waves of mango, orange, and easy to pick out the simcoe. Resinous hops, with pine, citrusy orange tangerine and grapefruit with a nice but not overpowered bitterness. I hate knowing I wont be having this again any time soon.
Growler into a wineglass showing hazy dark orange with sparse white foam.
The nose shows soft juicy grapefruit with a back bone of NE style malt.
The palate is full bodied and well carbonated. Strong flavours of blood orange with mild adzuki bean sweetness. No bitterness until finish. More like a strong pilsner bitterness.

750ml growler poured into a Hill Farmstead oversized wine glass.
A~ hazy golden, glowing copper, nice white head, a little lacing and a good amount of sediment! mmm...! the pieces!
S~ lots of citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange, tiny bit of mango. lots of piney earthyness from the hops, and a tad hint of booze on the finish.
T~ extremely complex! with every sip something different comes out, but still very well balanced! follows the nose with all the citrus, plus a ton more pine notes, and different "funk" with every sip. a little white grape funk up in there. it kind of has an Abner thing going on without the saison aspects and minus the slightly boozy smell that you get the whole time as you go for it but its ohh so smooth on the palet.
M~ super nice carbonation, not as dry as i would aspect from all the hops. very refreshing, i could sip on this all day and be very messed up haha and once again sooo smoooth.
O~ yup! amazing! this will some how be added to my top 5 hoppy brews... yeah i don’t know how thats gonna happen haha better make it a top 10 or 20 =] but i seriously love it. definitely try it out if you have the chance, highly recommended for sure. its all about the hop funk! Bottle (growler) [from trade with abitker, huge thanks] @ weekly tasting. Clear light orange golden color, average to medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, some resin, some hops. Taste malts, hops, a nice firm bitterness, resinous, piney, lovely. Yeah very nice. Huge thanks Adam! DutchDrebus (6191) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2016 Bottle @ benzai. Golden colour with a medium sized white head. Smells slightly sweaty but also hops, fresh, fruity and amazing. Tastes hops, bitter, fruity, fresh. Great stuff. Full body, nice carbo. Maakun (6430) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2016
Growler shared by kermis. Thanks! Clear honey golden with off white head. Quite resinous, sweet tropical fruits, bitter grapefruit peel, some dank weed notes too, spring onion, herbs, lots of sweet malts, syrup, toffee. Quite sweet and bitter. Full bodied with syrupy feel. Nice stuff, but very heave too.

Growler shared. Clear orange golden with a thick white head. Aroma of resinous hops, grapefruit, pine, onion notes, citrus and caramel malt. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a juicy hop resin coating palate and soft carbonation. deanso (10101) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - FEB 28, 2016
75cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis.
Very thin white head. Low carbonation (but it was very fresh). Slightly hazy golden pour. Tropical fruits bitterness. Some malt. Clownoisseur (486) - Buchanan, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2016
Pour from growler into 10 oz. pub glass. Appears dark-honey-golden with a small white head that quickly breaks into spotty lacing. Medium carbonation makes this beer look thick. Aromas are of fresh cut grass, light spruce, light cannabis, hint of onion, earth and some floral notes. Actually pretty light aroma for the profile. Taste is an earthy medley of the aforementioned aromas. Hints of citrus, light honey sweetness and notes of alcohol add to the depth. Fairly well masked warmth, but still present...I could sense the gravity of this one. Finishes with a moderate earthy bitterness coupled with some lingering alcohol warmth. Bit of a sticky/resinous mouthfeel. Certainly a fine offering but a bit too big for my palate. Fun to try, but give me Abner any day! Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - FEB 26, 2016
Growler from HF.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a semi-hazy almost burnt orange color with a thin wisp of a white head that quickly dissipated. Light bubbles of broken head float around the top. Light wispy lacing.
The smell takes in sweet danky onion sliding on into through resinous pine and then a light grapefruit underneath.
The taste had a full bittersweet flavor revolving around the resinous piney part. Dry resinous aftertaste leads into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body. ABV, whoah, where did that go? Its not really there, well hidden.
Overall, wow, just wow, just an absolutely stellar job by HF. I’d love to have this again. thepatrickman (1502) - Lewes, East Sussex, ENGLAND - FEB 26, 2016
Growler, 4 days old, shared at Stoneface. Exceptional stuff. The dominant flavors and aromas are "classic" American piney hops and just enough malt sweetness to remind you that you’re dealing with a 10.3%ABV beer. It was so light and crisp, though, that it almost reminded me of a hoppy pale ale. The hops, the malt, the booze, everything is all so balanced in this beer. Fantastic.
