Wow, this was a really good IPA. Ive heard a lot of buzz in homebrewing circles regarding Citra hops (sold out a lot of places) and I have to say I didnt understand the buzz until I tasted this beer. A light orange body that is clear but not brilliant under a soft white head. Aroma is very citrus-y with a lot of pineapple notes. Bitterness is quite apparent but not harsh in any way. This beer has got its IBUs in all the right places to make it extremely drinkable. Mouthfeel was smooth and good. This was a very good beer. I had this on-draft at Rozis Wine house in Lakewood.

Bottle in Cleveland. Hazy dark yellow with small white head and good lacing. Packs a big citrus punch, with plenty of hop bitterness. Well balanced. Feels like a west coast ipa. Good .

Bottle. Nose obviously dry and resinous, lots of pith and tropical citrus peel. Pour rich golden-orange, opaque with a short soapy beige head. Taste is strongly bitter but not excessively so, caramel is strong but dulled, more like biscuit/dough, but citrus is bright and shimmers around the edges. Pine and this wonderful tropical musk, not the more known like mango, but a bit leafier. Pilsner-like malt underneath (tad grainy) but its clear the the malt has mostly been abandoned. Clean full body crisp and refreshing, bright. Enjoyed this one, but have to admit to disappointment given the surprise hype. [2016.08.25: 3.4]

Bottle. Deep amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, orange peel, resin, pine, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture and lively carbonation. Fluffy mouthfeel. Inviting nose. Nice balance between citrus and resin. Clean.

Bottle from Rabbott, undated but fresh, drunk 3/25/16.
Clear golden, light amber body is well-carbonated and topped by a large white head showing good retention.
The nose is full of both herb and fruit, with some light candied citrus somewhat sweetening/balancing things and light pineapple and mango for juiciness. Cracker and biscuit like malts remain in the background while no heavy resin appears, nor alcohol. Definitely not a juice bomb and quite West Coast, as they say. Much more austere than the average NE IPA, but still very well-executed.
Soft, malty texture with creamy carbonation kicks things off the right way, with light biscuit and grain balancing lemon, candied orange and dry mango/pineapple. Light mint-like herbal suggestions add some complexity and it finishes with apricot-orange and medium bitterness. No resin or alcohol.

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Grapefruit aroma. Favors of adoring orange and tropical fruits. Bitter finish.

12oz bottle huge thanks to Ed5388. Poured an orange body with a foamy off white head. Aroma of rotting citrus, wet dough, lemon skin, crusts, brown bread and grassy hops. Flavor is similar, hops seem older, more earthy and grassy than citrus or pine. Full body, slightly creamy, average carbonation. Not sure if this is an old bottle or people are just overrating this.
