UPDATED: DEC 18, 2015 12 ounce bottle- poured out tar-like black with walnut swirl, moderate dark tan head that left plenty of lacing throughout. Aroma was strong coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste was just about perfect! Strong coffee, toast, malt, very complex and enjoyable, this one will never get old. Palate made the drink, scoring a perfect 5.0, thick and smooth as cream. I havent checked yet, but this may rate as my new #1. Well earned, will grace The Beer Fridge for a long, long, time.

Bottle 0.355l at home Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Taste with adamnowek, Alexei, Melanie and Jeca. 14.01.2017. Pour it dark color with small brown head. Aroma freshly brewed coffee, some rosted malt. Taste lots of coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate, spices, sweet honey just a pinch, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium to full body, oily feel, soft carbonation, long finish. Nice maybe although its really fresh bottle.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is roasted malt, oats, intense coffee, mocha, coffee beans, cocoa, dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate to medium roasty bitter finish. Body is medium to full. Rich coffee and great drinkability, so much coffee and mocha, a treasure for lovers of coffee stout. Delicious.

Bottle. Sensoric. Pitch black with medium, light brown, thick, slightly aggressive head. Good head retention and moderate lacing. Moderate to high roasted malts aroma - mainly chocolate (dark), coffee. Slight booze notes. Taste is moderately sweet and moderately bitter with a long duration. Medium body, oily texture, soft to average carbonation (more average), finish is medium bitter, roasted, smooth, silky. ABV warming is moderate. In overall a little bit overrated here. IMHO this one deserves for nearly 4.0, but definitely not above. Really good and nice coffee and chocolate notes, but nothing outstanding, despite this, there are quite strong booze notes in aroma and palate.

Everythings said. Old school basics. Love it. Can drink it thousands of times. As someone says: Ominous power and mellow expressivity.
